  1. I thought the /200 variant was supposed to be alternate artwork and be a 2xLP...?
  2. Hey Andrew, wanna send me your tradelist? I have the Descensus test. I doubt I'd trade it but I'm willing to look at your list. Would PM but am at work and doing this pretty rushed.
  3. Boy am I glad I stopped collecting variants of Circa. I bought the 3xLP. Now to figure out if I should sell off my green/white press. Probably will try but if no one bites I won't be upset. Super stoked for this show.
  4. I'm not as impressed with the song as I should be. I was just kinda underwhelmed with him repeating the same few lines for 8 minutes wit a few spacey guitar riffs. I hope the rest of the album is a little less repetitive and maybe a little more upbeat. I'll still buy this because Dallas is the man but I hope I'm not as underwhelmed with the whole album.
  5. That's true. Their other albums are 11+ songs though. Still not a bad thing and the album is great. And yeah, I miss Tim and real drumming too, and it really threw me off on the first single but as I got more used to it I started to dig it more.
  6. Mine shipped. Haven't gotten it yet. This album is super good, but really short. Seems to be a trend this year. Still super good.
  7. Shoot an email to their BadChristian email address. I imagine they check it more.
  8. That's underarandable, but they said when the POs went up that they would ship around May 18th because they already had them.
  9. Had your reply not started with an insult, I migjt apologize for assuming that all of this was because you weren't getting a colored record, because that's how you made it come off, but alas, I'll leave you to your over-reactionary whining, whether it be about color or the fact that "regular joe" vinyl doesn't mean "exclusive" vinyl. If you wanted exclusive, you should have bought the things that said "exclusive to the IndieGoGo." Either way, I'm bowing out now.
  10. Yeah, the originaly email said they'd be shipping this past week, so I dunno.
  11. The Weaks's End was only pressed because Broken Circles got the right to it. The band have said multiple times that they want to press their other albums but they can't because Capitol Christian owns the rights to all of them, and have no interest in pressing them. I'm not missing the point. In fact, I directly responded to your point in saying that the band directly said that there would be vinyl readily available of the new record before the campaign went up, and I found it fairly clear that the $100 packages were only for people who wanted to support them, which is why there was originally no cheap vinyl option. But whatever. Believe that you want. I'm not going to defend my 'vinyl fan'-ness to you.TD;TR, I think it's fairly obvious that there was going to be vinyl available later, and even if not, people still got it for $30ppd from a crowd funding campaign, which is pretty standard, so stop whining. Or just buy a colored variant and sell your IndieGoGo one if color means that much to you. Yes, I realize 'it's the principle of it' but the campaign was put up long before a pre-order was talked about, I'm sure, and as someone mentioned, the color was an afterthought. I'm gonna laugh my ass off if the 'regular joe' vinyl come in and they're colored.
  12. It's silly to think that a band like Emery would press 200 vinyl that's exclusive to the campaign and then wouldn't have an actual pre-order later. I'm pretty sure that at the time it went up, the phrasing on the page and the emails made it out to sound like there would be a full PO later, but that the $100 packages were for people who wanted a special vinyl. I never said people wanted a regular black vinyl, I said people wanted a cheaper vinyl, and they gave it to them in the form of a black vinyl, and I'm pretty sure that was made pretty clear when it went up. It's none of your concern who pays $100 or $200 to the campaign. I paid for a test press because I got the limited record, test press, posted, CD, shirt, and hand-written lyrics to my favorite song from a band I've been listening to for ten years, and that's who those expensive packages were marketed toward. They said when they first started talking about a new record that it would be on vinyl, CD and digital, before the campaign ever went up, so it was pretty safe to assume that it would be released on vinyl for the rest of the people who just wanted a basic vinyl later on. But people didn't want to wait, and now they're all pissy because Emery gave them what they wanted, and then proceeded to do what every band who releases a record these days does, put it on vinyl with variants. $30 for a record is not all that uncommon in crowd funding. I'm not saying it's good, but it's not uncommon. Many bands who have never done vinyl on their own do crowd funding campaigns with vinyl costing $50. I've seen at least two or three instances of that. And then there was no cheaper option. Like ifworkpermits said, the point of a crowd funding campaign is for a band to ask the people who are devoted to that band to help, and if you contribute to that campaign, expect to pay more for what you get. That's just the way it works, in most cases. Emery didn't run the best and most clear campaign but it's nowhere near the worst I've seen. And as far as my 'novel' misunderstanding everything, again, I have to agree with ifworkpermits and say that you're mistaking a campaign designed for the hardcore fans of the band to help them make music with a pre-order system in which everything is laid out nice and neat and cheap. Someone who's going to say "fuck this band, I want nothing to do with them," because of the wording in a campaign that was written a year or more ago doesn't sound like someone who should be contributing to crowd funding. But whatever. It's your money, I'm just saying stop acting like they should have made a special variant just for you because you have them $30 after everyone asked them to put something in the campaign that wasn't even originally going to be there. If you wanted the exclusive variant bad enough, you could've paid for it, or you could've waited. Again, this is coming from someone who had no problem paying a lot of money to help a band I've loved for a decade make music, and not everyone will or should do that. I'm just annoyed by whining and entitlement. Sorry for the 'novel'. Also, in case you didn't mnow, I'm pretty sure the vinyl is delayed. You could probably, I dunno, talk to the band or management and cancel the pledge and get whatever variant you might want, and end up paying more for it because on IGG, shipping is included, and on their site, it's not. You could go with Amazon, but I'm pretty sure that ones black.
  13. Oh my god, the whining is real. If you remember, they weren't even offering a regular vinyl for the IGG at first and it was all going to be preorders except for the bigger packages. Then, people whined, so they added a regular vinyl option. No frills. If they call it "regular joe", it's probably pretty basic. Yeah, people who supported them should get a cool variant, but they weren't even going to offer a regular vinyl for the campaign until people whined about it. They are offering a special vinyl for the IGG, and you could have gotten it, but you wanted a "regular now" vinyl, and that's what you're getting. I'm not happy about how long we have to wait or some of their business practices, but I chalk it up to them just not being abreast of all the vinyl trends and knowing how to do it. But you know what! They did it, and we're getting vinyl. If people want to act like children and throw away their vinyl, fine, but stop whining about it. I'm not defending all the of band@/ practices, or the way they handled some things, I know some of it was kinda shitty but they've also never self-released a big album before. All I'm saying is, you didn't have to contribute to the campaign, you could've waited for the PO and got a flashy color, but everyone wanted a regular vinyl option, so they gave you one, and now everyone's whining about it. I'm annoyed that the album took this long and that these guys aren't good at communicating, but this album is really, surpassingly great and even if I get a black vinyl with the alternate cover, I'll be content.
  14. There's only one or two versions of the five or so original models that came out at the beginning of the PS3's life that are backward compatible. They're pretty hard to find in working order these days since that was like 8 years ago or something.
  15. SRC is annoying sometimes, but the last few times I ordered from them, they were fine. Suck it up if you want the record.
  16. Bump! Added some more rare records from my cousin's collection.
  17. So I finally got my printer issues dealt with and can now get records and such out in a timely manner. Thank god. Printers are the worst. Anyways, this is what I still have from the recent sales, some other stuff I'm adding, and I figured I'd throw up my PS3 on here before going to eBay, though, eBay is probably the best option. Update: Sold a few things here and there. Also, my cousin is moving and gave me a bunch of his records so I'm selling some of them that I already have or don't want. So, if you see anything that I've losted before, don't think I'm double-selling or something like that. Haha. 18. Hey guys! Not sure if any of you have heard of these guys and gals before, but I've been listening to them for a little while. They're very dark and folky and have some western themes in their music. They focus on telling stories, much in the way of Murder by Death. Their new album will have a lot of vocals from the main guy and a girl with a really pretty voice. Here are some links to their music. https://marahinthemainsail.bandcamp.com/album/devil-weeds-dour-deeds - First EP https://marahinthemainsail.bandcamp.com/album/thaumatrope - Single from the new album They just posted a Kickstarter a while back, and they're offering vinyl and some other really nifty options. They're only asking for $6500, but they've only raised $2600 so far. You guys should check them out and see if you dig them. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mitm/marah-in-the-mainsails-full-length-album-thaumatro
  19. I got into Fallout because my best friend when I was like sixteen was like "hey, you should get Fallout 3 so we can play it this weekend." So I looked it up on YouTube and saw the E3 demo and immediately went and bought it. That was New Years Eve, I think. I played that and NV for endless hours. I don't see how they don't announce FO4 at E3, but if they don't, I'll cry.
