PO: Sugarcult - Start Static - Out 11/20
aellerton replied to beardacus's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
My copy seems a tad light than the back color (probably cause my copy has more white wax mixed in), but safe to assume that's what they were aiming for- 371 replies

PO: Sugarcult - Start Static - Out 11/20

Second press arrived today! #272 I think, or possibly #242, they need to pick a new numberer over there. I like the baby blue, white definitely works with the artwork better, but I have so many white records. Glad to have a copy of this, hopefully they press their other records.- 371 replies

PO: CHVRCHES - The Bones Of What You Believe
aellerton replied to Green Tea Papi's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board

1. CHVRCHES should be red - got my copy in today and it is. 2. My guess is popularity of those bands and the album which they pressed. Hurry Up, We're Dreaming, Bon Iver and Fear Fun were all great albums put out by hipster bands that people who shop at UO love. So the demand is going to be greater than Regina Spektor or Feist - just my two cents.

Just went live on Subpop with a limited edition "Loser Edition": In 2010, Virginia native Jonathan Russell and California transplant Josiah Johnson formed the core songwriting partnership of The Head and The Heart in their new hometown of Seattle. The band was quickly rounded out with the addition of drummer Tyler Williams, keyboardist Kenny Hensley, vocalist/violinist Charity Rose Thielen and bassist Chris Zasche. Their 2011 debut album on Sub Pop became one of the label's best-selling debut releases to date. In a few short months The Head and The Heart went from playing open mic nights to selling out San Francisco's Fillmore, Seattle's Paramount Theatre, New York's Terminal 5 and more, building a loyal fan base across the country. The new album, Let's Be Still, is a snapshot of a band that didn’t exist just four short years ago. The album was recorded at Seattle’s Studio Litho with assistance from prior production collaborator Shawn Simmons. Later, the band traversed the country to mix the album in Bridgeport, CT, with Peter Katis, revered for his work with bands such as the National, Interpol, and the Swell Season. PRE-ORDER DETAILS & EXCITING NEWS —>If you pre-order Let’s Be Still from us here at Subpop.com, you will receive an instant mp3 download of the first single "Shake". —>When you order either the LP or CD , you’ll receive a limited-edition postcard set of striking black and white candid images of the band on tour. —>Customers who pre-order the LP will receive the limited Loser Edition of the album.
