Good news! I hope one day someone is crazy enough to lose money pressing Mike's earlier solo stuff. Rockity Roll is one of my favorites.

Listening to the stuff on a computer or mp3 player with earbuds is less-than-satisfying when you know that you're missing out on a more richly-detailed experience.

It's books 4 and 5. 6 has yet to be released. Next season may include just a bit of 5 but will probably be branching off.

Right I'm dumb and can't count. But I thought they were building a buffer for GRRM by doing first half of 4 & 5 this season and second half of 4 & 5 next season.

Am I mistaken in thinking that this season is books 5 and 6 but next season will be too? The books are split geographically not chronologically but as I understood it the dirctors are including aspects from both books as to keep all of the stories on the same timeline. Right? Or am I crazy?

Haha, I have a Stanton T.62 with a BBE Phono preamp that goes into an older Pioneer receiver. My speakers right now are just some generic Panasonic ones from a surround-sound system I had in high school; they have good bass response though so they're sufficing for now.

Not positive but bec recordings still seems to be putting out new music so there may be hope of a repress yet. Also noticed at the bottom of the page that it looks like they share an imprint with tooth and nail. Interesting.

The people in line for RSD are always the same handful each year and we have a good time shooting the shit. I was just pretty much able to confirm one of them as a flipper. Our shop got one copy of Deja and I just saw a copy of Deja on sale on ebay. While it's not a complete lock it sure seems likely enough that it was him.

Doesn't really bother me but I know next year to not try and help him out. The bunch of us always try and watch out for each other and will share our must gets and shout out when we find it for whoever needs it.

That's really the only thing I missed about not going to rsd this morning was the handful of dudes I see twice a year and spend 6 or 7 hours talking/drinking with only to go our separate ways till the next rsd event.

damn. i just ended up w/ a second bundle delivered by UPS. i had emailed them about changing the shipping method to save a few bucks, and they had to refund the whole order and i placed a new one. bet it just wasn't fully cancelled in their system. emailed them about it. i feel bad now

Yea.. My guitar got stolen a while back and I needed a new one because it was an integral part of how I put food on the table. I did what everyone here is saying and sold records on this forum and people were very kind and generous. Also they weren't just any records. Bad Books I. KDev - Put Your Ghost to Rest. Right Away Great Captian trilogy. Etc.

And after I sold these records (of GREAT sentimental value) I didn't even get to replace my Gibson ES 335 with another one. I now have a Washburn that's about 1/3 the value of my Gibson.

Point is, it sucked. I didn't want to sell these records. I would kill to have them back. But at the end of the day I had a choice to make and my livelihood took precedence over my hobby. Shitty things happen, but as it's been mentioned, there are people with much bigger problems out there.
