It was... there was a dude who'd drive down early... pay 10-25 homeless dudes to stand in line with the 10 bucks a piece plus some cash for themselves when the record was delivered while he parked in the art store parking lot across the street and slept in his escalade. The day Jack got sick of it was the day TMR ebayed WS split copies, and jacked the copies up to $50 instore day of sale. That's nuts. I hope that escalade-dude becomes poor and then dies. Seriously.

I called Grooves in SF and talked to the manager/owner. I said, "Word on the street is that you will be getting the new tri-color Jack White single." He replies, "Why do people keep calling and saying that?" I said, "I don't know, but it's kind of a big deal." He finished by saying, "I don't know anything about this and we get shipments all the time and put them out when we get them." So I think the whole waiting thing at stores(not in Nashville) and scoring one is less likely than ordering at random intervals from the TMR website. Incidentally,if Nashville stores are really getting around 30 copies each, and you happen to buy an extra or feel inclined to stop a flipper from purchasing and eBaying, I will gladly pay cost, shipping and a little extra for you to send it to California.

Looks like a knock off. Isn't their stop sign logo usually by itself without any text beside the FX? I think so. I remember this shirt (I can't really remember if it was without the text) on sale on their last tour with Smoke or Fire. So the shirt is maybe three years old. $100 per year increase for a shirt is not a bad retirement plan.

Here's my plan. We should somehow contact Dave Hause and see if he would be down to stage an elaborate meeting with this dude in some obscure town at a giant house late at night. When Adam? gets there, Dave will say that he has to go turn something off upstairs and that "he'll be right back" and "make yourself comfortable" and then when our guy sits at the kitchen bar, Chris Hansen will walk out and catch that predator. The banter between Chris and Adam? will be awkward at best. When our guy tries to leave, VC members will ambush him and search his car and find boxes of unused shipping labels. When asked about these, he will claim that he was just bringing them to make sure Dave knew about how to ship Loved Ones and solo merch. He will say that he has never done this before and that he just wanted to make sure Dave was safe and that all of his internet posts were just him trying to help people. Litigation will ensue and people will get what they deserve. Records...refunds...racketeering charges.

I know what you mean, not to say its worthless to try, but every third man collector get's to a point in their quest when they realize that no one is going to pick any 1-per customer items up for them. although, there are some people on littleroom and whiteswirl who are really nice and do try, but you have to really support the community for people to wanna help. most people that ask are just trying to get hand outs. it works better if you try to help others too. Cool beans. Thanks for the heads up.

That FUCKING game!!! I'm right there with you. I tried playing it again last year and it's still impossible. I thought maybe I could do it now with all my life experience and hand-eye coordination. Nope.

they sold something like 500 in the first day, and apparently they don't have the tri's yet. the lottery's are impossible to play. chances are no one's going to pick one up for you, it's one per customer and if anyone gets someone to come with them to wait in line for hours that doesn't want one, it's usually cause they want to sell them for tons of money. i've never seen more interest for a tri color than i have for this one. sorry to be so negative. Don't worry about it. You just said what my brain was telling me while I was making the post.
