One of my friends got a free copy of Funeral from a radio station running an event at a bar. He had never heard of them and I knew only who they were so I traded a dollar beer for it. Totally a good move

I hated this at first listen but then realized how great it was musically. Ryan Ross did an amazing job writing songs that made an album. After his departure the band became overly poppy and the songs are just bad.

Other than both being sold exclusively through HT, this and cork tree have absolutely nothing to do with each other at all.

Picture discs suck. I hate all of mine and only have them because it's the only option
If this is reissued properly, I'll buy it at nearly any price as it was one if the first albums I ever owned

Hey everyone.  I posted a large tradelist a little awhile ago but I thought a better approach would be to focus on one or two items at a time so that way I don't get overwhelmed and lose track of messages/offers/etc.

One of the 'big' items I am looking to sell is my Deftones: The Vinyl Collection #343/1000.  The records are mint condition, the case + sleeves are near-mint.  If you are interested, PM me and I can provide as many pictures as you'd like.  I am looking to get $275 PPD for this item.

    Thank you for reading!

Why would you post this here and also put it up on Ebay at the same time?  If someone bids on your auction and a different person sent you a PM, would you cancel the bids and end the auction?

I find it kind of funny that you left me negative feedback based on the fact that you assumed I had "disliked" your post.  Well, it wasn't me.  Shockingly, someone else disliked it.  So, you better hurry and find out who it was who actually gave you the negative, so you can leave them negative feedback, too!

You said make an offer.  I did.  If you put actual prices I would probably pay what you listed them for rather than play the 'did you hit the magic number in my head yet' game.

I think I've only requested a partial refund twice on eBay. Both were due to poorly packaged records where luckily the vinyl was fine but the jackets had creases.
Neither time did I open a case. I only do that after a seller blows me off or doesn't respond for a week.
    Ps
One time on half.com I received negative feedback from a guy that bought my copy of The Abyss on DVD. His comment was "would have preferred the full screen version." Wtf?

how so? we're all dealing with an unknown quantity in the 3rd party handling our records - the post office. nothing can control what these organisations do or how they handle our records. it should expected that SOME very minor damage will happen to the record sleeve in transit. unfortunately, i dont think we can expect minty mint mint records to arrive through the post. not ragging out on you here, but i have found as well that some ppl have way too high expectations on what condition the record SHOULD be when it lands on their doorstep, especially after a 6000 mile commute.

a little bit of reasoned thinking is required in these situations.

For the record, I am User420. I think it's pretty funny that anyone actually thinks I am the OP or that my name is Richard and that I was serious about telling the kid making threats to send me to the ER to "come over." I understand sarcasm doesn't translate well through text but when I said "You CLEARLY know who I am" I was being sarcastic.

I appreciate blocking me under User420 from posting. I don't understand what I did to warrant a ban from blocking as I don't feel as though I was posting for the sole purpose of creating an argument. But thanks for jumping to conclusions about people's identities and thanks for being rational and mature regarding discussions. The intellect of some of the members of this forum is astounding.

I don't have any anger. I think most of you are butthurt at getting called out for what you are. Getting called out because this thread exposes what this forum is all about and it's nothing about music, nowhere near being about actual music. Just a bunch of kids collecting vinyl records thinking they are part of the music scene. If there was any decency here then members wouldn't use gifs as replies or insults or cuss words but you failed on every level imaginable. You fail at being forum members just like you fail at life. You proved me right. Everything I said in the opening post was proven correct by near enough every single reply thereafter from the Texas to the Californians to the working class up west. We even got some Sloveniks and Russians in here giving their opinions and all because I asked a simple question.

Do you know what is astonishing to me? It's the absolute immaturity of you people. The very fact that someone would create a thread asking you all if you listen to the music you buy got you all bent out of shape because you're all a bunch of weirdos that buy music to stick on your shelves and stick in boxes and then sell on for a profit rather than listen to it for pleasure. Just look at yourselves, go and look in the mirror and sort yourselves out, seriously. Get the soap, give your a face a good wash and slap yourselves for being so god damn stupid and then join the rest of us in the real world.

Do any of you actually listen to the music you buy? Very few of you. Very very few. And you're all running around crying. Posting your silly basketball player gifs cause you're too inbred to post an actual sentance. You don't know how to respond to anyone, that's why I didn't want anyone replying to the thread because it would be a waste of my time and your time because you can't talk the way I talk, you aren't me and for the ones that wanted to argue back, I already told you in my original post that I am right, I know I'm right, I don't need you trying to tell me that I'm somehow wrong. Everything I posted was the truth and you know it so there's no need to try and argue back at me. I just had to get my thoughts across to you people, you shower of ignorant, selfish, lazy, useless people who's only reason to get up in the morning is to get on this site and get a hardon for all the vinyl records you have pre-ordered. You're an insult to my intelligence and for those of you that deliberately ruin other peoples chances of getting hold of limited records, and the labels can go screw themselves too because they're the ones feeding your minds with all that garbage, you can all go to hell. The only reason you sell those records online for a profit is because you're too fat and lazy to go and get a real job. If you were real men you'd be at Walmart scanning groceries and coming home to your Momma at the end of the week with a paycheque in your pocket and some hard work under your belt. What happened was you never had a real Father figure in your lives. You never had someone at an early age to teach you how to be a man and how to live life. It's taken me to take you one step towards that goal and I don't mind undertaking that task. I don't mind being The Man. I am The Man here in the UK, here in my hometown. I'll fix you.

This thread is insane for so many reasons and I barely read any of it.

    I will say this:

I buy vinyl to listen to. Most people do, or at least that is one of the reasons they buy them. I don't really care if people are going to keep collecting variants of shitty pop-punk records, as long as it helps vinyl stay relevant. If only audiophiles and people with good systems bought records, it would become less and less profitable for labels to release it. If 500 kids owning 5000 brand new records helps to keep labels pressing stuff on vinyl, then i'm totally okay with it.

I bet most of this lot will be first in line for Lady Gaga's Artpop but that is their choice if they want to listen to any music that enriches and empowers those that need a confidence boost in the real world.
