  1. Heya! We still pretty much have a few of everything. Lush boxes (4 of them), Nothing 12" (4 of them), Peregrine (duh) etc. Feel free to email me (mail@graveface) if you have a request and I'll nab it for you. Gonna wait till Monday morning to list anything publicly so that local folks have one more day of browsing the RSD stock in my shop. Hope you all had a rad day of vinyl hunting!

  2. Will there be retail available outside of RSD shenanigans?

Of course!  The RSD copies have actually been done for almost a year.  The plant that made those closed down before they could do the retail copies.  Then I attempted to get back the metal parts for a bit and failed so I had to remake everything somewhere else.  But yeah, this WILL NOT be limited.  Anyone that wants a copy will be able to get one.

  3. thanks for all the responses!

one question remains though: is there anything like a sticker on the shrinkwrap or so to tell it apart from the earlier pressings? Let's assume I'm holding a copy of this in my hands at my local record store, how can I tell apart the new from the old pressing? thanks again!

Oh!  Gotcha.  The new pressing is in a super heavy Stoughton gatefold tip on.  The old, a boring lightweight normal gatefold sleeve.

  4. My 180G sounded great on Side A. Side B is plagued with non-fill though, to the point where I took it off the table before the side was done. I've had 4 copies of this record now and none play cleanly. I'm a RC member and I really appreciate that Graveface has gone out of their way to try and get me a good copy, but I'm done with this one. When I want to hear it I'll just stream it off Spotify.

Well that's not good to hear.  I've only had one complaint so far on this new pressing and it was someone pissed that they vinyl was so heavy that it ripped through the black inner during shipping.  It's remarkable out of 4 copies you haven't had a listenable one.  My apologies.

  5. push.. I assume that people received their new press (180g) copies. Can anyone make a short statement about the pressing quality and sound of the whole thing? Also, can one distinguish the new pressing from older pressing just from the look of it?

The 5 copies I've listened to extensively sound vastly different to me.  I can hear subtle nuances that I couldn't hear in the first pressing etc.  The last pressing was really depressing.  Actually, about 65% of the last/first pressing was fine overall, and then something happened over at A+R.  It was so bad that I'll never use them again actually.  There's an etching on this new one so people can visually tell the difference if for some reason they were confused.

  6. I'm directing this to all you good people here: Do any of you know about any cheaper shipping options from the U.S. to Germany than the one provided by graveface?

I really can't convince myself of spending 46$ on this record, but damn I want this..

Just signed a UK/EU distro deal with Republic.  If we have any copies of this left they'll receive a batch.

  7. i appreciate this part. but the fact that it was advertised as "the way the band wanted you to hear and see it" and then showed up looking very similar to at least two of their other whirr releases but with a flimsier package is just a little disappointing. i prefer the OG artwork (i think that jacket is slightly thicker as well).

the new mix/track listing is great though. no complaints about that.

That's the entire point.  It's supposed to look EXACTLY like Distressor but with different artwork.  It was advertised accurately as well because it's how the band wanted you to hear it and see it.  The mixes are not what Teepee wanted and the artwork is not what Teepee wanted...it's what the people that wrote the songs wanted.  The packaging is the same we've done for years.  Imprint is the broker and Ross Ellis the printer.

  8. received my copy of pipe dreams redux today. i'm really disappointed with the flimsy jacket and poor artwork all around. listening to the MP3s of the new mix right now. will comment on the rest later.

Would be more than happy to issue you a refund if you'd like to send it back.  It's the same jacket we've done for years so I'd hardly call it flimsy and the artwork is what the band wanted from the get-go.

  9. Finally got my retail copy in the mail. Unfortunately, the comments about the pressing (lack of) quality are real, it just crackles everywhere. An irony that the best album of the year was turned into wax with one of the worst pressings I have in my collection.

Hopefully Ryan will repress it (180g perhaps?) with another factory. The album deserves it.

Heya.  I'm more than happy to exchange it for you if you'd like.  It's like 10% of the pressing is super-noisy for some reason.  The rest seem to be great though.  The few copies I've pulled as personal copies sound perfect.  We've gotten some returns though that definitely do not sound amazing.

  10. Seeing as my record store is in a very small city, CSD isn't a thing that can pick up steam here.  Meaning we have extras of pretty much everything if there's anything you're looking for.  Comically I'm all out of the Graveface comp.  My graphic designer is putting up his 4 copies at 9pm here though: http://music.furioushooves.com/merch.

Holla if you want a price check on a CSD tape.
