  1. Jesus...I was on the website the day this went on sale and still had the option to buy the black copy, but I was young as far as record collecting goes and just bought the white/red splatter because it looked cool. Never expected this to be as huge as it is...
  2. I hope that bid is fake. And for the record, I'm on your side. I don't feel bad for this guy. It's sad when someone dies, but I feel worse for his family and even worse for the family of his friend that he murdered by being an idiot. You have to be a complete moron to drive that fast...especially after having a few drinks. As someone said earlier in this thread...it's not as much a tragedy as it is pathetic. The only tragedy is that he was so dumb and that he took someone down with him.
  3. Actually this is what made the show (The Killing not Twin Peaks) disconnect for me. I cannot imagine Michelle Forbes playing any other charactor than Admiral Cain. I absolutely despised her character on BSG so I have a hard time getting beyond that hatred. Also... the owls are not what they seem. Haha...I didn't even realize that was Admiral Cain until just now! I hated her, too.
  4. I thought about trying to get my friend over there to go get one for me, but I knew it would be a ridiculous hassle.
  5. Ha. That's pretty great, too. I think my favorite thing about the whole series was just how Jack White came off disgusted by everything Colbert did and said. Lots of quality television tonight. That new show Wilfred and the return of Louie were pretty awesome, too.
  6. Pretty sure they're exclusive to tomorrow's thing. I want one so bad. I was cracking up at this shit. Colbert: "Now, performing a song I made famous--" Jack White: "It's not famous!"
  7. Also, one more thing about The Killing. Did anyone else notice that the actors playing both Detective Lindin's ex and her new fiance were main characters in Battlestar Galactica? That was kind of an odd coincidence.
  8. I didn't think it was boring, but I knew it would take a turn, I just didn't know which way. (Don't want to spoil it if people haven't watched). I actually wasn't entirely sure if it was just going to end or have a twist. It just seemed like such a closed case toward the end, until I noticed there was like 10 minutes left. I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens. I think there's a lot they can do with it.
  9. I think I'm going to start watching this soon. All my friends are always raving about it. Also, I watched AMC's The Killing, and it's pretty good. It's a little slow moving at times, but it kept my interest, and the acting is great. It's getting Twin Peaks comparisons since it takes place in Washington and is about the investigation into a girl's murder. I recommend it.
  10. I was going to book him August 24th in California, but I was having a hard time getting a venue and his booking agent ended up adding him on as support for another tour coming through. A little bummed I don't get to do the show, but I'm really interested in seeing who he's supporting.
  11. Haha..."difference of opinion is what brings us the lulz".
  12. Sent an email. And if anyone else is interested: www.facebook.com/tzebra We used an 8-track but only had 1 mic, so the recording isn't amazing, but my friend is a recording school graduate, so he mixed it pretty decently in Garageband. Also, I'm aware our name is pretty cheesy, but we got thrown into playing shows pretty suddenly and had a pretty overwhelming response around here, so it kinda stuck, ha.
  13. Sweeeet. Didn't mean to be a dick or anything...read over my comment and I guess it could have been read that way.
  14. And it's a 2xLp with the 12" songs on the end. I have the LP from when it came out and it is as good now as it was then. I have not heard the reissue so I have not done a comparison. Oh nice! Those songs fit perfectly on that album. Something I loved about the 2005 CD re-issue was the Mr. Wrong songs at the end, too. I'd love to get my hands on that 7" someday. "State of Grace" is one of my favorite songs ever, and the cover of "End Of The World" was pretty awesome, too.
  15. My band played an awesome show last night with David Liebe Hart from Tim and Eric last night. It was a pretty fitting show for the day before the rapture.
  16. I ordered this AND saw on the distro page that they have a repress of NoMeansNo "Wrong". Fucking awesome. I've wanted that album on vinyl for some time now.
  17. I got my LP today, too. Same color. Just waiting on the set of demos I don't already have.
  18. So true, his biggest mistake was turning his radio show into an all conspiracy show. When you need to fill 20 hours a week with conspiracy talk, he resorts to turning every last thing into some cover up or conspiracy. That guy bugs me so much. Bugs me too. I just had to see what they were saying.
  19. I checked Info Wars yesterday and Alex Jones is already all over this...
  20. For me RSD is more about hanging out downtown listening to the live music and getting drinks with friends all day long. I only spent a like $7 on a 7".
  21. I have this on a coke bottle clear, too. I got it for $1 with an order just a couple years ago.
  22. I'd be interested in RKL, Circle Jerks and Black Keys...of the ones listed anyway. I'd like to see a full list of stuff you guys have.
  23. I got an email with a download of the new album that said the vinyl is delayed 2 weeks due to volume at the pressing plant. It says that since it's delayed they're making it up to us by sending us a download of the original acoustic demos. Hopefully it will have all the tracks, since I already have the one he was selling on tour last summer, but it looks like those of you that wanted the New Homes demo tracks will get them if you pre-ordered the record.
