  1. Yeah, probably the best of the trilogy. So good.
  2. I don't know how I forgot Sandman. I've only read the first volume, but that one's great. I need to read the Daredevil and Swamp Thing ones you mentioned. I'm reading the New 52 Swamp Thing by Scott Snyder month to month now and really like that one, too.
  3. This sounds like an awesome class. Where are you going to college? I read the first volume of The Boys by Garth Ennis recently and enjoyed it. I think that's either ending soon or has just ended. Brian K Vaughan (Y The Last Man) has a new series called Saga that's on it's 4th or 5th issue. I'm liking that one so far, too.
  4. Yeah, I go in for a 6-10 shift tonight. There will probably be a bunch of barbecuing bastards in the store all night buying beer and ice...and complaining that the beer isn't cold enough.
  5. I don't remember what happened to the other pass...might have sold that, too. I just looked it up and realized that was 2004. It was a pretty decent year, though. I really only remember the regulars like NOFX, Bouncing Souls, Bad Religion, and The Vandals...Guttermouth was there on one of the small stages talking shit on Warped Tour. Good times. Totally not into big dumb outdoor festivals anymore, though.
  6. I've had some pretty awesome Warped Tour experiences. My first year was 2000, but '02 and '03 were the best for me. My friend at the time's mom was a nurse on the tour for years, and in 2002, her and Dave Raun from Lagwagon got us backstage passes. I was standing next to Fat Mike's wife on the stage while they played, and I was up there for Lagwagon, No Use For A Name and Bad Religion, too. It was probably one of the coolest moments of my life. 2003 in Ventura wasn't as cool, because they wouldn't let us on stage for some reason...BUT the way we got in was funny. We decided last minute to go. My friend calls his mom and tells me we can go, but we have to go to her house first. We go to his mom's house where she fills up a duffel bag full of pills. When we get to the show, my friend makes a call and the side gate opens up. So we walk over and my friend exchanges the duffel bag for 4 backstage passes and 4 actual tickets (there were 3 of us). We used the backstage passes for everything, so we went out later and sold the free tickets for $20 a piece.
  7. That Against Me!/Riverboat Gamblers/Fake Problems tour was great. I bought a Riverboat Gamblers album after that show and it's not that great, though. Oh and when I try to play their CD in my car stereo the speakers can't handle it and cut in and out. It's the only CD I have that does that, and I think it might have something to do with how loud the CD is...it's super loud.
  8. I haven't moved anything as far as I know. I guess I'll look around. Thanks.
  9. Recently I wanted to play some music from my computer, and when I started the album iTunes said the original file couldn't be found. It happened with other albums, and I noticed all the albums giving me problems are ones that I got from download codes that came with the vinyl release...with the exception of Austin Lucas "The Common Cold"...which was up for free download on the Magic Bullet site for quite a while. It's not a certain label or anything...just everything I downloaded legitimately doesn't work. Most of them are albums I got over a year or two ago, and they played fine until a couple months ago when I first noticed this. It's just weird. The illegal downloads play fine. Something's backwards here. What the fuck? Anyone had this happen? I have a Mac. Don't know if that has anything to do with it.
  10. That's really stupid. Way too long of a break between 8 episodes.
  11. I might be interested in some of the comics if you get a list done, too.
  12. I don't post much, but March 8th, 2008. Yeah, it's alright. Took me a little while to get my account registered. I was always signed into proboards VC, so I couldn't remember my password.
  13. I never keep a balance in Paypal, but once I signed in and saw some weird charge or transfer of around $12 that I didn't recognize and had a weird description, so I canceled it and changed my password. Never really knew what it was, but the money didn't come out of my account in the end. I guess I should have looked into that.
  14. I think the funniest part of the article was when the guys in the band were stoned and came to the conclusion that they needed to start working out so they can defend Tom against assholes.
  15. One of the most surprising things I've ever read. The transgender thing is beyond me. It's something I just don't understand...and I'm not sure you really can unless you're going through it. BUT with that said, I pledge my full support. I hope she and her family are happy and that there isn't too much backlash from coming out this way. Not sure what this will mean for the band's music, but I'll check it out. Also, gotta say I'm impressed by the comments on Punknews, overall. One of the first things I thought was, "Oh no...Punknews readers are going to have a field day with this one." There's only been 2 complete douchebags so far, though, and they're taken down real quick by a bunch of people telling said person to die, so that's cool.
  16. When my friend and I got out of the movie I said the same thing. I loved this movie. They totally phoned in those last two solo movies...especially Thor. I think I'll be going to see it again with another friend. Hulk was definitely my favorite character. Hulk/Loki scene was super intense. If I were watching it at home that's one I would have rewinded and re-watched a couple times. Ruffalo totally blew Edward Norton out of the water, and I'm a fan of Norton.
  17. I support this. My band opened for his band when he toured last time. It was preeeetty fun.
  18. I really wish they would call him by his real name. Having them call that asshole T-dog when something serious is going on bothers me so much.
  19. I was watching this by myself tonight and when Michonne showed up I threw my fists in the air and yelled, "YES!!!" so loud it startled my dogs and they started barking and attacked each other. This might have been the best episode of the entire show, period. I'm so excited. I usually don't feel bad for Andrea, but she got screwed tonight. Not that it was anyone else's fault...I mean, shit hit the fan and they saw her go down under a zombie, but damn. They put her through the ringer in this episode, and I'm thankful they did so she could be rescued.
  20. This episode was so good. I knew Shane was done, but I thought it was going to be the finale. The standoff was awesome, and I loved that Carl finished it. I know everyone was hoping Carl would kill him while he was living like in the comics, but I thought it was great how they did it. Looks like they'll be leaving the farm next episode...maybe find a certain correctional facility next season?
  21. So as a follow-up to this, kinda out of nowhere my friend got in contact with a guy and got us a show at Gilman, and I'm beyond stoked about it. I know it's not a big deal to people that live in the Bay Area, but growing up reading about it and such it's the stuff of legend for me. It's this Saturday, March 17th. Should be a fun show. https://www.facebook.com/events/312852932108341/ We might have something in LA in May at The Smell or Pehrspace, too.
