  1. Whiskeytown - "Sit & Listen to the Rain" Song is pretty depressing.
  2. It's not because of lent, but I stopped smoking 8 or 9 days ago for some reason. I ran out and just never bought more. I feel weird. I think about it all the time and if there were a cigarette or someone with cigarettes here right now I'd definitely smoke one, but I'm kinda proud of myself despite it not being that long.
  3. I got so excited when I saw this. It's gotta be. They started luring them to the fence and stabbing them in the head like that at the prison in the comic...and that zombie looked like a prison guard. This episode was really good, by the way. Strong start for this second half. Really stoked shit's starting to come down on Shane.
  4. "Voting Santorum is my business...and business is good."
  5. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/megadeths-dave-mustaine-endorses-rick-santorum-20120215 I was trying to come up with a Megadeth joke, but eh. Dave Mustaine is kind of a dumbass.
  6. I sat in my underwear all day watching Star Wars: The Clone Wars in between naps. I guess I should do some homework now.
  7. The only part that bothered me in this was Lori trying to get people to go after Rick when he wasn't even gone long enough to get Hershel back home in the first place. I laughed pretty hard when that arm fell off the truck. I'm okay with some pointless stuff like that.
  8. The Grammys are so racist. Who is this white man?
  9. Also, how is Santorum still in the race and doing better than Ron Paul? Paul is a little too much for me, but Santorum? Really?!!
  10. i think i'm so amused by stewart/colbert because a lot of the time, they say outloud what i'm thinking (granted, in much funnier/more caustic ways) when i see most things happening in politics. Same here. I hate when conservatives equate them with the liberal talking heads on msNBC, too. Stewart/Colbert bag on liberals at times, the Republicans are just the ones in the spotlight saying stupid things right now. I really enjoy the interviews with politicians on The Daily Show, too. The discussion tends to be more honest and I find it easier to wrap my mind around certain issues because Jon Stewart is more of a regular guy. That's not to say he's uninformed, either, because he usually is and has legitimate questions that a lot of his guests aren't used to answering.
  11. Like I said, venue size has a lot to do with ticket pricing. It's shitty.
  12. I think if they did a full tour the venues wouldn't necessarily have to be so big, so the ticket prices would be a little cheaper. I'd think they wouldn't sell out instantly either, since people wouldn't be so goddamn desperate if there's more opportunities. It's pretty cruel to fans to reunite and only play a couple shows like this...
  13. I've been a fan of theirs for a while. But it seems like people love them out of nowhere. Guess that happens a lot when bands reunite these days. Yeah, I'd never call myself a huge fan of Refused, but when the reunion was announced friends of mine I'd never heard talk about them were all of a sudden freaking out and saying they "have to go" and such. Kinda weird. I wanted to go until I looked up videos from right before they broke up and saw that they were still playing small shitty venues back then. I kinda think these reunion shows would just ruin it for me. This isn't how Refused was meant to be enjoyed. No judgement if you're going to one of the shows, of course...I paid a lot of money to see Descendents last year. Something else that annoys me every year is when Coachella is announced Facebook just fills up with "BEST LINEUP EVER" and "I'm so going!" by a whole bunch of people who don't end up buying a ticket or even trying.
  14. This has to be bullshit. It'll be just like the Refused reunion if it's true...huge venues for too much money. I'd probably still go, though.
  15. The board really needed this. Thank you Becky. I was starting to get bored.
  16. Cool. It says they don't have a central booking person, but I went ahead and sent a message directly to the venue asking if they might be able to get me some contacts with people/bands, so I guess I'll just see what comes of that. Are there any other cool places that are similar and do punk shows?
  17. I'm in a punk/folk band from Visalia, CA (near Fresno) that's looking to start playing shows out of town as soon as March. Does anyone here have any suggestions for venues and/or contacts that might help me out?
  18. Wouldn't surprise me. FYF had something to do with putting this on. I didn't even try for this one in SF because I have class all day Wednesday, and it's kinda important I pass these classes so I can transfer next semester. Any other day and I'm down. The Palladium maybe? Also, a couple years ago there would have been some massive meltdowns on this board over these tickets selling out. I guess all the crazy people left.
