  1. Got mine last night. Looked straight up purple to me but I'm a bit color blind. Love this series and stoked I've been able to get them all as I was at the shows.
  2. If you are patient and keep an eye out, you can probably score an OG copy of Meantime for around $30 or a bit more. I got the AmRep press for about that in great condition at Amoeba a few months back. Probably close to what the repress will cost.
  3. That's some flawed logic. You're talking apples and oranges. Just because someone lives in a foreign country and gets hosed by their country and their tax laws doesn't mean that those that live domestically should suck it up and get hosed for domestic shipping without a complaint.
  4. Never ordered on line but have spent plenty of dough at their store. Good records but definitely on the spendy side. They have re-pressed some great stuff on their label as well.
  5. Haha! Sorry for that inadvertent "a" in there. All fixed. Your vag feel better now?
  6. thats not all you are saying. your original statement and point was that a label putting out a single record cannot afford to sell a record as cheaply as a label that puts out records with more frequency. Which you ultimately proved to be completely false, by showing that a label with even one release can sell a record for cheap and still profit off it (provided the pressing sells out, etc). moreover by saying that because the established label will earn more total money, you are insinuating that an upstart label who puts out a single release is entitled to make more money PER RELEASE than a label who put out 5 releases and spent 5 times the work, energy, effort, money up front, etc. if anything it should be the opposite, labels with one release should be selling their titles for CHEAPER, because the one release label put in a handful of hours of work in their spare time, and the label churning out those frequent releases quit their job to focus on the label full time. Dude, Porchlight may not be laying it down with the right words, but what he is trying to get to (at least what I think he's trying to get to) is 100% correct. He's dead on in the fact that labels that press more are able to amortize fixed costs over a larger production, thus lowering the cost per unit. Economies of scale. Get into it.
  7. This thread just inspired me to jump over to the MB site and order that gold Manson LP. I was on the fence about it earlier this week just because I didn't have the dough and not because of any moral opposition. Just goes to show how far knowing your audience/customer and providing them solid goods at a solid price can take you. Magic Bullet = Backed
  8. I have a set list from a Seattle show that was from probably '95 or so. Hit me up if it's something that you'd want/need.
  9. I'll be in sometime this weekend to grab mine. Thanks dude!
  10. Will definitely be in on Saturday. Been looking forward to checking your spot out for a while now. I'm hitting up Easy Street in the morning, follwed by breakfast, then some beer and records at Porchlight! Any chance you are getting the HWM 7" and if so any chance you could hold one aside for me?
  11. I saw him in Seattle a couple weeks back and all that he had were t-shirts with the new album art. They were 10 bucks. Now that I think of it, he had Bristle Ridge on vinyl. Didn't look to see how much it was.
  12. They were supposed to be allocating a certain amount per show. If that's the case I'd suggest getting there early if you want one. Like I said, they were sold out last night before the openers even played. I'm actually glad now that I think about it. That's a stupid price to pay and I probably would have wished I hadn't spent that if I did.
  13. So I think the box set is sold out already. I don't know if they are only selling so many per show or what, but at the Seattle show last night they were sold out. That was early in the night too as the opening band was just taking the stage. Sorry if I bummed anyone out.
  14. If you are really concerned, you can contact Aram. He posts on www.nwhardcore.com under the name Crucial Times I believe. He also runs React! records I believe so you could check with him through there. I'd guess that a guy in the band would be able to tell you.
  15. Man, you folks are nuts! How can you listen to this crap and seriously get excited? This album is stright up garbage. Sure, may be better than anything they have done in years, still doesn't make it any good. Straight garbage. The lyrics are stright up laughable. Metallica stopped being a band long ago, they are nothing but a corporation that pumps out awful sounds. No soul, no heart, no thank you.
  16. I don't remember if they were released on vinyl or not, but maybe The Gamits?
  17. Singles Going Steady is probably your best bet depending on what you are looking for. They are pretty much the only "punk" store in town and used to have a better selection but it's still decent. There's a place called Zion's Gate if you are into metal or reggae. Easy St. Records carry vinyl at both of their locations and have a pretty wide selection of things both new and used. Jive Time has a couple of locations as well and they just carry used stuff that's mostly classic rock but you can find some gems in there. Those are pretty much the only places in Seattle that carry vinyl that I can think at the moment.
  18. Give some love for the Alcest LP they just released. Can't wait for that sucker to arrive.
  19. Expensive is the case for pretty much all balck metal stuff on vinyl. Sucks but it's usually for nice represses on good wax with good art (for the old classic stuff). Luckily I live right by the Kreation Records storefront so I have the advantage of not having to order on line and pay the shipping with the high prices.
  20. Oh, and Relapse Records has a decent distro for black metal stuff as well.
  21. Try The End Records. Probably have some there.
  22. So I'm all about taking the records out of the sleeve for LP's, but what about 7"s that don't have an inner sleeve to protect them? Any thoughts/ideas?
