  1. If you're just wanting a Kansas flag tee, I live in Wichita and could probably pick one up for you on the cheap.
  2. I'd be so into this if it was Creepin', but alas, I'm not familiar with any of these tunes and when it comes to Bone, I'd want something a bit more nostalgic
  3. I worked at hot topic for almost six years, and it pains me to think of all the records I passed on, simply because I didn't know much about vinyl and didn't know that pressings were limited. Off the top of my head I remember passing up copies of original Get Up Kids, Hot Water Music, and Alkaline Trio pressings. Not that I'm really a fan, but had I picked up copies of Brand New records then, I could probably make bank on them, not that I support flipping, but I do support paying off credit card bills.
  4. Been seeing a gal for a week now, I'm pretty crazy about her. Stoked that she digs every nerdy thing that I do, which is pretty much everything about me. It's pretty silly that I met this lady off of a dating website, and she's hot and not insane (not that I know of at least).
  5. this thread is pretty awesome because when it comes down to it, every dude is just a nerd for a pretty girl, and every gal is just a nerd for a handsome boy
  6. saw this three times in the theatre, gonna watch the shit out of this once it hits blu ray
  7. I'm usually that friend, all of my single friends are way too shy to try to talk to gals, I'm typically the go-to wing man.
  8. Chad was only sixteen when he recorded the first full length
  9. It was a dude that interned at rev and built their original site, I tried to google the video but couldn't find it.
  10. The last five girls I've dated, talked to, touched their lady bits, or whatever were all between 21-23. I'm 29, and find nothing wrong with that age group as long as you act mature; however, each of these gals eventually showed their youth in the way they acted. The gal I'm 'takking' to now (I'm too old to even know all these terms) has kids and a career, so I know maturity won't be an issue. Also, though I don't really care if a girl digs the music I listen to or not, she's a HUGE fan of 90s rock which is my favorite, and from the few things she told me she's been listening to, it seems like she has stellar taste, or could be molded by a handful of mix CDs.
  11. I need to stop this, I'm so tired of biting my nails. I'm a smoker and I still consider nail biting my worst habit. I like the idea of carrying around a file or clipper, as I tend to bite mine as a means of evening them out. I'm gonna go buy a mini filer tomorrow.
  12. I don't see how using something because I'm incredibly familiar with its interface deems me as following a trend. I think a lot of Android phones are great as well, but I like my phone because I've been using it for almost six years now.
  13. I'm never interested in reading these things, it's always the same- Brand New, Thrice, etc etc. Mind you, I'm not mocking collections by any means, but it just feels like I'm reading the same article over and over again. I get it, people really like Brand New and Thrice.
  14. Definitely purchasing the 5, I've used an iPhone since the 3 came out and hav loved it since. My phone is in pristine condition, jailbroke, and unlocked, and I have all of the original things that came with it, so I'm certain I'll be able to sell it for the price of the 5. As for swype, I tried it on my iPhone and hated it. Maybe I should give it another go.
  15. I've never really cared what kind of music a gal is into as long as she is open to new things. However, if a girl is not into reading or current events, then there is definitely nothing there.
  16. Boxer Rebellion and Miltown releases on rotate tonight
  17. It is a bummer to see something close its doors, even though so many people have struggled to keep them open. However, it isn't surprising. I know it's a defeated topic to bring up price, but seriously, if people are bummed about Hydra Head's sinking ship, then it is an obvious point to bring up. Twenty bucks on a single LP, and sometimes over 30 is pretty rough. I recently paid $20 plus shipping for an LP and it killed me inside a little bit, but the LP was self released by one of my favorite bands in the world. Just as everybody else has mentioned, if they want to make up some of that money, repress that shit people have been begging for for sometime now. Not to mention Hydra Head's website being a giant pain in the ass, if a record is sold out, then take it off the damn vinyl section of the webstore.
  18. + there's been a pretty girl blowing up my phone for the past few hours - it's dollar whiskey night at a bar my friends frequent but no one feels like going out with me tonight b/c they're "responsible"
  19. I tend to make the first move far too often, generally a kiss on the second date. The problem with this is, I tend to get over a girl almost immediately after we sleep together, which totally sucks because I know had I just waited to do anything physically, I could have given her and I a better chance at actually becoming something. However, this time I plan on taking it insanely slow to see if anything can come of it. Again, I dig being single, but the gal from last night is crazy attractive, digs great music, loves my nerdiness, and is around my age (most girls my age are typically married or insane, which leads to me dating 22-23 year olds).
  20. Glad I could jump start life back into this thread
  21. I have an online profile because I do enjoy being single, but the idea of a relationship is not out of the question. So seein a brief profile on someone that hits me up allows me to say yay or nay to a cup of coffee. I'm an attractive, (mostly) non-crazy dude (minus the two cats), who just chooses to be less than proactive on the dating scene. I've dated a lot of girls that hang out in the same spots I do, but they ended up being less than stellar, so now I need to branch out in ways that aren't me going to bars filled with Affliction shirts, bedazzled jeans, and the smell of desperation in the air.
  22. I was stoked on I Am Hollywood, until the band I was in ended up getting booked onto some shows with He Is Legend and they were total dickpenises. After that I couldn't even listen to them. On another note, The Changing Of Times was a really rad record when it came out so I'm excited to pick up a copy for nostalgias sake.
  23. So I just received my copy of Gasoline Heart- Thanks For Everything, and I think it might actually be my favorite record of the year. This band is seriously one of the most underrated rock n' roll/Americana bands of the last ten years; their record "You Know Who You Are" is probably in my top 25 ever. Seriously, check these guys out if you dig Gaslight, Lucero, etc.
