  1. Just stating my opinion, I legitimately apologize if I offended anyone, that was not my intention.
  2. I don't get the huge deal with Brand New. I liked the first and second record because I thought the first was a good pop punk record and Deja was a decent pop record. Aside from that, I think this band is alright, no more no less. As someone stated though, who cares? Do you like it? Do you dislike it? That's all that matters. I played "Call Me Maybe" on the jukebox of a dive bar three times throughout the other night. Did I care if anybody liked it? Hell no, unless a really cute chick would be all "who played this, lets go make babies in the backseat of my very expensive Benz in which I paid for because I have a lot of money and like to have sex with tall awkward guys that like catchy pop tunes." Then I probably would have cared.
  3. I thought this was a pretty good read, regarding the olympics. http://www.cracked.com/article_19733_5-things-they-dont-want-you-to-know-about-olympics.html
  4. That's really awesome that you found somebody post divorce. If you don't mind me asking, how long were you married? How long has the divorce been final? I only ask because I'm about your age and went through a divorce about a year ago. Shit sucked. At least she didn't get half of my records. I don't think I could ever do the LD thing. In the beginning of this post I mentioned hanging out with a girl from another state. Luckily, I suppose, I found out girl is a compulsive liar, so I didn't have to worry about it getting to the LD point. Actually, now that I think of it, I don't think I'd want to do the LD thing or even the relationship thing for that matter.
  5. My apologies, for a second there I almost thought this was the internet and you didn't necessarily have to read my post. As far as being soooo rock n' roll; my stance against UO has nothing to do with being too cool for school. It's more the fact that UO has been known for stealing artwork and designs from independent artists, as well as pulling any product that remotely promotes same sex affiliation.
  6. I wouldnt care if urban outfitters had the exclusive extinguisher to put me out if I were engulfed in flames; I refuse to spend any money in that establishment.
  7. I don't care much for how exclusive a record is. I buy records to listen to them, not for bragging rights; though I understand why someone would be stoked on the exclusiveness.
  8. I'm super excited about this. I remember them posting a black and white teaser trailer a few years back with Chris in it and it gave me goosebumps. Yes, The Moon Is Down is an amazing record, and will always be one of my favorites, but I'm super pumped about new songs with Chris. I just hope that same energy and dynamic TMID held is present on this.
  9. Man oh man I could've used that info last week. I did a catering gig and we forgot a can opener, so I had to stab a giant can like it was trying to steal my wallet. After I was done I felt obligated to cry in the shower.
  10. Ru, fireworks can be exhausted, and it's super easy to become settled. Even though distance is there, you need to do something to reignite those fireworks and remin her why she's supposed to be head over heals for you. Have flowers sent to her; or send her a package full of things that mean something to you both without her knowing. Long distance takes work, and as soon as you both quit working then you may as well start shopping the Craigslist missed connections. Remind her that you're a badass.
  11. It looks like somebody found a way to breed the special olympics, autotune, and teenage angst. No, I don't think I understand today's youth very much. *sits on porch grumpily, keeps your baseball if it comes over my side of the fence*
  12. Actually, I just found out it was HipsterAsFolk that posted it, and it's not a big deal, homegirl is ALL over the internet
  13. I think I probably laughed the least of any episode this season than I did the flashback episode. Can't win 'em all I guess.
  14. Well now that the dust has cleared and the air has settled, lets check back in on everybody and see how things are going. Madie, did captain lovestobone get the boot or have you introduced him to your parents yet? Spring or fall wedding? Derek, any progress yet? Have you thought about meeting someone that looks exactly like your ex, just so you can date her and then break up with her in public, very loudly? Dashhax, you posted a pic of a friend of mine in the ass appreciation thread. I texted her to tell her that her ass is now popular on a record forum, she found it funny.
  15. I did not expect that. That's actually really awesome of you. Take that fuckers at deadformat, people at vinylcollective are actually nice people. Suck it lambgoat.
  16. It isn't the fact that people are taking the internet too seriously dashhax, it's the fact that you came into a thread in which people were respectful toward one another and you decided it would be best to go about posting in the manner of a sixteen year old boy obsessed with the Playboys he found in his father's bottom drawer. I don't see why Madie would go about making up dating stories for attention, there seem to be far better ways of gaining attention over the internet (i.e. having a girl's ass in your signature, making rude comments, overall coming off like a high school quarterback). I'm not trying to be a dick by any means, it just seems like you're the guy that showed up to a party and ruined everyone else's fun. People had legit questions and comments in here. But I'm aware of what the response to this will be: "Sarcasm, sarcasm, joke, I'm smarter than you, offensive comments toward women, joke, sarcasm." But what do I know, I'm just the asshole with an Instagram photo as my avatar.
  17. Careful, with great power comes great responsibility.
  18. I'll more than likely be going to the KC show, I'd happily pick up copies for people that need them, no flipping, just pay for yours and shipping and it's all good.
  19. When you sell on eBay, you become the 'store' therefore the buyer is willing to pay said prices. Of course a record store is going to offer you less; they become the middle man, and still need to make a profit on purchased product.
  20. Then earth crisis fans will start doing windmill kicks to raggae.
  21. Well, Cat Stevens changed his name, religion, and sound in the 70s and has stuck with it. Though there was that period where Snoop was all 'I don't smoke weed an fuck bitches', and then approximately three minutes passes and he was all 'oh yeah, I'm snoop, I should probably smoke some weed and maybe fuck a bitch or two, you know, just to be safe.'. So I'm not sure if this will stick or it'll be like every 19 year old that decides they're going to be a straight edge vegetarian. If that's the case, I'd give it ten days.
