  1. Last night I watched the new Oldboy. I didn't like it all that much, I thought Josh Brolin suited the character, but other than that I wasn't into it. I had a pretty negative expectation going into it though, so maybe that is a bit unfair, but there was no way it could top the original. I also had no idea that the Olsen twins had other siblings.
  2. Ah that sucks, it costs about $16 a roll where I go which isn't the most expensive, but certainly isn't cheap. Was yours just the original Mamiya 645? You should post some pictures from it.
  3. I remember a passing comment about Hasselblads, wasn't sure if anyone still actively used theirs though. If you have a spare $42,000 there is a NASA Hasselblad EL on ebay. I'd love to try out a Mamiya 645 Pro/TL or Yashica 124g, have you guys used either?
  4. I didn't mind Don Jon, it was amusing in parts. I watched the Carrie remake the other night, it was ok. I without a doubt prefer the original.
  5. Yo, I watched They Live for the first time last night as well! Definitely regret not watching it earlier, it ruled so much.
  6. Yeah, it has a quite a number of filters. I've never seen a serving one though, you can filter recipes by nutritional value per serve.
  7. You can also go on www.yummly.com it has endless recipes.
  8. Yeah, the idea is to let the weight of the razor do the work. Try holding your razor at a 45 degree angle using small strokes and make sure your face isn't drying out. Has anyone here used Lucky Tiger liquid shave cream? I'm thinking of gifting myself some for Christmas, I've heard good things.
  9. I watched Youtube videos when I bought my first safety razor as well (I think it was this guy mainly). If you like that Shaving Factory razor you have, I would highly suggest investing in a Merkur, it's a world of difference.
  10. Iron Mind's Divide/Praise single just got put up for free here or you can buy the cassette here.
  11. I finally watched Jarhead. I had always been told it was a terrible movie and whatnot, but I thought it was quite good. I can see how people were a bit let down expecting a full on violent war film, but I liked how it dealt with the soldier's anticipation of getting a kill. I always watched Jug Face, I thought it was pretty decent for what it was. Hillbillies and the forest generally make for a creepy film. It was odd seeing both the father and daughter from The Woman in another movie together since that one still perplexes me. Nonetheless, I think it was worth a watch.
  12. Yeah, at the moment we have kittens outside. You get the most shifty people call sometimes who you know are just going to sell them later too which sucks.
  13. I saw Bad Grandpa last night. I had a real low expectation but I thought it was ok. It would probably have been a lot worse if I had just downloaded; the sneaky beers probably enhanced it.
  14. I finally watched Clerks. I thought it was great, absolutely lost it when Randal is on the phone going through all the porno titles he wants.
  15. Most exciting thing to happen in my street, only a couple houses down. I always thought she was adopted. http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2004/05/28/1085641661595.html http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2004/05/28/1085641693705.html
  16. I finished Wine of Youth yesterday. For the most part it was enjoyable, some of the Dago Red stories based on Fante's childhood were a bit bland. I liked the later stories more such as 'Helen, Thy Beauty Is to Me', but there were some good ones in Dago Red like 'A Wife for Dino Rossi'. I still think Ask the Dust is the best thing I've read of Fante's, not that I've read much...
