  1. I'm not from the US, so apologies if I'm mistaken, but how is there not more being made of this accusation that appears in Ivana's book? I saw an article about it once on Twitter and I've not seen it again at all. How is that possible?
  2. He's even ruined Home Alone 2. That is fucking insane. He is a lunatic. Is he quoted anywhere as saying this? This is real top drawer dictator-in-the-making stuff.
  3. Are you looking to sell? If so, take a look on Discogs.com, you'll be able to find recent sale prices and more info on there, plus you'll possibly find more potential buyers on that site than on here.
  4. Yeah, supposedly. I put milk in first because it literally makes absolutely no difference whatsoever. Vinegar on the fries, then salt. Yeah this is fucking horrendous
  5. I miss the booklets too. About ten years ago I had my whole CD collection inside a couple of CD wallets that were stolen out of my car. But to this day I still have the empty cases with the booklets in
  6. in the UK we get the same with making tea: "people who put the milk in the mug first are monsters". you know what? it's my fucking tea and I'll now forever make it that way just to fucking spite you
  7. oh right. It was phrased weirdly: "when someone goes to a restaurant and asks for the same thing they did last time". To me that read like: customer: "I'll have the chicken, please." customer (two months later): "I'll have the chicken, please." unless of course mr thug is hanging around restaurants with a log of peoples' orders for the last six months. kind of on this topic: when people say I should have my steak a certain way. to me there are two types of people in this world: 1) people who tell people how to have their steak and 2) decent people.
  8. "Literally" has been used in the way I think you're referring to since the 1700s. i.e in an exaggerated sense. I agree with "epic" though. Like "epic win" and bollocks like that. Thankfully I don't seem to see it so much any more. This is more "shit people write..." but why are so many people misspelling the worse "lose"? As in "I watched my team loose the game". They loosed the game? What the fuck does that mean?
  9. My to-read shelf continues to grow. Saturday I bought: Cormac McCarthy - Blood Meridian Philip Jose Farmer - The Purple Book Richard MAtheson - I Am Legend Jack Kerouac - Scattered Poems Ted Hughes - Birthday Letters Ted Hughes - Lupercal going to make a start on Blood Meridian next. Scattered Poems is very short so I'll finish that this week and I'm also reading Folk Horror Revival - Field Studies which is a huge slab of essays and interviews.
  10. If someone doesn't want to thank me when they've walked thru a door I've held open for them, that's fine, it's just nature's way of telling me to avoid this heartless, empty vessel of a person in the future
  11. also "<something is> fire". recent pet hate: "sorry, but <OPINION REQUIRING NO APOLOGY>" Why sorry?

  13. ah ok, I've only been to the Vegas one, was pretty awesome from what I remember. oh this is the worst
  14. Not even for £2. If you had the CD, just use that? extra bonus nostalgia points for using original format
  15. with this huge market for "nostalgia" purchases, plus stuff like timehop and "look back" on facebook and whatnot, I'm waiting for 20 years to pass when the whole of social media implodes in a furious ball of irony for what is actually considered objectively good
