  4. Mumblr Debut New Single "Puke" + Ready Album for November Philadelphia-based rock foursome Mumblr are becoming known for their ferocious hooks, which is a staple of their highly energetic sound they call "fuzz punk." On "Puke", the lead single from their forthcoming album White Jesus/Black God, the above statement rings true as frontman Nick Morrison coos pensive one liners about someone that brings him down followed by bursts of furiously emotive chants pleading "I don't know anything why do you lie to me?!" over agitated guitars and drums. Soundcloud (stream/free DL): https://soundcloud.com/fleetingyouthrecords/mumblr-puke Bandcamp (stream/free DL): http://fleetingyouthrecords.bandcamp.com/track/puke It's angry yet catchy; a great example of "fuzz punk" and what Mumblr is all about. White Jesus/Black God will be available on cassette and digital formats via Fleeting Youth Records on November 12th. Pre-orders can be made here. More info on the release here
  5. Hey everyone, my label The Native Sound just posted pre-orders for Koji's new EP titled 'Matters'. It's being pressed on cassette tape, limited to 200 copies. I really appreciated how some of you supported my John Vanderslice release – I thought you all might be interested in this one too. Pre-order here. More info: For over five years, Andrew Shikari (known to most as Koji), has toured and promoted a handful of EPs, 7-inch singles and full-length splits with the likes of Into It. Over It. and La Dispute in the most DIY way possible – on the road, performing in the basements, VFW halls and clubs of the world, armed with nothing more than an acoustic guitar and his voice. After signing to Boston’s Run For Cover Records in the fall of 2010, landing tours with artists as diverse as Never Shout Never, Code Orange Kids, and even the Vans Warped Tour, Koji released his much anticipated debut full-length album,Crooked In My Mind in April of this year. Playing alongside members of Balance And Composure, Title Fight, and the Lauryn Hill band, Crooked In My Mind proved that Koji’s brand of passionate, and socially conscious punk-informed pop-rock was ready for a larger audience. On November 12th, while touring the United Kingdom and Europe with Into It. Over It. and Slingshot Dakota, Koji will release Matters – an EP produced, engineered and mixed by Will Yip at the legendary Studio 4 in Pennsylvania during their initial 2011 demo sessions. The four songs, available as a digital download and limited edition cassette tape bring to mind the stripped-down acoustic stylings of his initial releases, whilst incorporating the striking strings and soulful intricacies that would later make their way onto his debut LP. All orders include a digital download, delivered to your inbox on release date. Navy Blue – 50 (Tour Exclusive) White – 50 Green – 100
  6. Looking to buy Makeout Videotape's cassette Ying Yang, pm if you have it.
  7. Hi everybody! Just FYI, this thread will serve as a catch-all for Parallel Resonance releases. With that said, Parallel Resonance (controlthebleeding and myself) has just released our 2nd tape, this time by the AZ band Shovel. 6 tracks, 100 copies made, blah blah blah...grab a copy and be cooler than your friends. "Rhythmic melodic pop to noise destruction and chaotic endings. Angelic vocals to primal screams. Pulsating drums to splintered wood. Swirling and driving beats come together with sensibilities not to far from indie bands of the early 90s. If you enjoy this you'll get Shovel. Bands that we sound like are Babes in Toyland , Sonic Youth, Hole, Velvet Underground ,Lydia Lunch , Pixies, Breeders, with no wave influences. Swans and Melvins inspired." 13. 4 brand new releases announced today, all of which are available for pre-order right now. Details below. Locktender - "Kafka" Tape - SL-004 - Out July 25 Locktender are a concept focused hardcore band concentrating on artists and their works interpreted through music, lyrics & art. Pressing info: 100 clear tapes with white imprinting. Pro-dubbed and hand-numbered. Includes download code. Pre-order // Stream Brighter Arrows - "Dream Journal" Tape - SL-011 - Out July 25 Brighter Arrows have changed their sound from bright and clean to dark and abstract with their new LP, "Dreamliner." What led to the drastic change? Where did it all fall apart? It didn't. It was coming all along... "Dream Journal" is a curious and cohesive mixtape of sorts, featuring demos, early recordings, and a "Dreamliner" B-side that all allude to the full-length. Experimental to say the least, this tape will leave you both riding white puffy clouds and shaking in fear all in a single pass. 100 pro-dubbed, hand-numbered tapes. Includes download code. Pre-order // Stream Scowler - "How To Find Light" Tape - SL-010 - Out July 25 Scowler are a 4-piece non-denominational hardcore/math/punk from Milwaukee, featuring (ex) members of Alta, 2194, and more. With influences ranging from Fugazi, Refused, and At The Drive-In, and fresh and forward-thinking dynamics, Scowler showcase the potential to take the Midwestern underground by storm. "These five songs are tense, urgent, dynamic, and energetic as hell. Overall, How To Find The Light is a killer EP and people looking for progressive/forward thinking dynamics in a punk/hardcore band will totally dig Scowler." -The Elementary Revolt 100 copies on red tapes with white imprinting. Pro-dubbed and hand-numbered. Includes download code. Pre-order // Stream Elesh Norn - "All The Pain I Built Up" Tape - SL-009 - Out July 25 Ear crushing, soul sucking screamo from Denton, TX. Featuring members of Father Figure, Two Knights, and more really good bands. "Well…Elesh Norn is a new 4-piece screamo band from denton, tx with members of father figure. Take a seat. I mean…that sound. Fuck. This. is. amazing. It crushes through your ears with a blend of old-school screamo, dreamy 90′s-emo-like interlude guitar-parts and vocals which remind me of Jayson Green (Orchid), Rich Lombardi (Cloacal Kiss, The Sawtooth Grin) and some depressive black metal bands. Sounds kinda fresh and like something where I feel pretty comfortable. A warm but very aggressive and massive sound." - Missthestars 100 pro-dubbed smokey colored tapes with handwritten A/B sides in white ink. Pro-dubbed and hand-numbered. Includes download code. Pre-order // Stream More info: www.skeletallightning.net

  15. Anyone interested in this? This is from 1992, and for someone who is into Misfits / Danzig, I'm sure this is a great collector's piece. Would love to sell or trade before it goes up on ebay. If you're interested, let me know - check out the wants on my tradelist in my signature!
  16. Hey guys, I'm in search of expanding (more-so beginning) my Chixdiggit Collection. Vinyl and cassette. The only 2 I have (on the way) are a pre-order on fat's reissue of from scene to shining scene, and born on the first of july. Any help is much appreciated! Cheers
  17. This was probably my favorite album of 2012, and I still listen to it all the time. If you haven't checked it out by now, do yourself a favor and pick this up (if cassettes are your thing). Shout Out Loud Prints based out of Columbus Ohio handled this tape release. Just saw these went up last week. The distro also has vinyl copies of "Weight of Air" in stock, and I know a lot of people (like me) have been looking for that for a while. At least I've been under the impression that it was oop or hard to find. Anyway here's the link and info: The Sidekicks - Awkward Breeds Cassette A Side: DMT Grace Peacock Incandescent Days 1940's Fighter Jet Diamond Eyes B Side: The Whale and Jonah The 9th Piece Looker Baby, Baby Daisy Pressing: 100 on grey tapes, 100 on red tapes Released: April 2013

  20. "If you hate cassette tapes, move along" Sometime last year, my cousin started his own DIY cassette label based out of Boston, and is currently working on his sixth release, each from a different band. I thought of him when I saw the mixtape exchange post (which I'd love to be a part of, but I don't have the necessary equipment). if any of you guys/gals love jamming on some lo-fi, show a fellow cassette brother some support: http://www.everydayisamixtape.com/ http://everydayisamixtape.bandcamp.com/
  21. I really really really really want to buy a Stay ahead of the weather cassette tape or a test press of their 6 inch split with the wonder years, please let me know if you have either!

  23. I got some stuff from them awhile back while they were touring We Were Skeletons - Cassette (10 tracks from their splits) - Purple 2/50 - only played once Justin Pallas - The Fiction I Feed Myself (A bunch of poems by one of the members. Has 2 tiny coffee stains on it that were there when I got it. Justin jokingly said it's one of a kind since none of the others have coffee stains.)
  24. A cassette version was quietly released on Ash Borers own label (Psychic Violence) a few weeks ago and it sold out fast. It hit a few distros but sold right away. Thankfully, I found one more spot to grab it: http://www.profoundl...-ages-cassette/ Be quick, I'm sure they only have a handful left. Also, the vinyl version will be dropping in the not too distant future through Pesanta Urfolk. http://pesanta.bigcartel.com/
