amnstypls
a lot of you seem to like hardcore and metalcore and metal etc. do those genres really sound that good in vinyl? i imagine they wouldn't. This genre is superb for vinyl listening.
mcpherson123
Sludgy Stoner/Doom Rock/Metal type shit for the most part at this point. The really fuzzy, heavy, groovy shit.
skyhasclaws
In response to my post about being worried that hardcore metal core metal music etc probably doesn't sound good on vinyl, I want to buy circle takes the square's as the roots undo on vinyl, i think I read somewhere that its being released soon. Do you guys think that album would sound good on vinyl? Idk why I'm so skeptical.

scottyrobotty
Odd. For as many people listing metal in this thread, I see very little posted to this board unless it's bitching about Mastodon or Red Fang's ludicrous prices.
hallowken78
My collection is mostly hardcore with the peripheral genre bases covered as well...punk, metal, rock, emo, etc. I've also got a lot of soundtracks/scores. And Goblin. Love me some Goblin.
deletedunknown
What awesome non sludge or doom metal bands are even around right now? My Dying Bride isn't as great as they once were, Decapitated is pretty great still, Carcass reunion is actually good, Gorguts had a great album last year. Otherwise it's kind of difficult to pin down really good death metal being put out right now. Most of the black metal is the gaze kind, it seems. There is some interesting punkish black metal. A lot of heavy music just feels like it steps in the hardcore/metalcore pool a lot more these days. What am I missing?
Jenza
Punk and hardcore. Some ska/reggae, folk and metal Yep it's gotta be reggae for me too. A lot of it!
elnombre91
Seems to be mainly fastcore kinda stuff, and generally dig bands with female vocals. Hence the love for Punch.
