von
not really a new long island band, but a new release from them, for fans of HWM, bouncing souls, with kinda misfits/social d kinda vox... http://www.myspace.com/halfwaytohellclub and also a great band from Brooklyn, in the vein of avail and the souls, they even have the best song about records ever! http://www.myspace.com/stayalivemusic
heavyheavylowlow
www.myspace.com/theglassocean Josh Beiser of The Chariot and Keller Harbin of Every Time I Die and The Chariot. They put out their EP last tuesday, it really is great, sounds nothing like ETID or the Chariot though, more like RATM and mewithoutYou ^I hear the mewithoutYou comparison, but RATM??? also, Them, Roaringtwenties... kinda cool. every other band in this thread... meh. Yeah, i'd defiantely say Snake Charmer has a Tom Morello vibe if he didn't rely so heavily on distortion and effects pedals. Aside from that the last track on the EP is so fucking beautiful, it's one of those songs that just sort of happens, no real beginning or end, they really need it up on their myspace. meyercore
www.myspace.com/halfheartedherobandMy pop-punk band that no one has heard of. I like it. Are those EPs still available? There are. The slick "first pressing" are all gone though. Those had professional photocopied, full color inserts and the cd's where spray painted white with red lettering and they came in those slim black cases. They looked dope. Now we just burn them, write our names on them in sharpie, and stick them in a paper sleeve with a printed out insert that we designed ourselves. If you don't feel like paying for it, (I wouldn't blame you), just tell me and I'll upload it to rapidshare or something. I'm glad to see that you enjoy this, man. It means alot. <

jailhouse
If you are into any straightforward punk rock or h/c punk check out The New Threat. http://www.myspace.com/thenewthreat They have a rather large east coast following, and tour with Lower Class Brats, and Krum Bums etc, but for some reason the west coast knows absolutely nothing about em. Anyway, LPCD combo coming in Oct In the meantime check out their stuff on Interpunk, and we have their "early years, cd" Fistful of TNT
