deafening
I'm heading out on a 8 night, 9 day road trip across the great American Southwest on Friday. Points of interest are Albuquerque, NM Grand Canyon, AZ Ventura, CA Big Sur, CA Santa Clarita, CA Zion National Park, UT Pagosa Springs, CO Palo Duro Canyon, TX In Albuquerque, Ventura, Santa Clarita, and Pagosa Springs we have nothing planned out. I'm looking for suggestions on what to do and where to eat cheap and locally [no chains] on these routes. Also, any beer suggestions from local breweries to try while I'm out are more than welcome. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I was confused why Big Sur was on that list until I realized its basically the end point that you're looping back from. go to the four corners marker and play 4-square with some other people there. jdtg
When you go to the GC are you staying in Flagstaff? If so there are 4 breweries downtown and another 2 on the Eastside of town. Tons of good food, but not super cheap.

If you wanted great local breweries you missed San Diego by a couple hundred miles! (I've consistently seen SD as a top 10 craft brewery spot) Hit up North Park, Adams Ave, Hillcrest and have yourself an authentic California Burrito if you ever come around. We're not all beaches and tan.
