chrisbreuer
Hello! Next month, I'm going to Austin City Limits, and I need to get a vinyl sleeve signed one of the days, but I want to keep it in pristine condition. It's a single record, so a big case wouldn't work. Any suggestions? Thanks! ratbrain

funtitled
i find that storing them inside only slightly used pizza boxes works the best, i have been dealing with records since 1969 and this has always worked for me. -block
TheGhostOfRandySavage
What? You guys don't have specially made 20-gauge stainless steel over-sleeves to slip inside your Chrome bags? (That was sarcasm, obviously, but I'm actually seriously considering having something like this made.)
skadaddy
(That was sarcasm, obviously, but I'm actually seriously considering having something like this made.) I bet it will be in the next SRC e-mail.
TheGhostOfRandySavage
I bet it will be in the next SRC e-mail. Gross. I've been thinking about it for a while. I'll have to talk to my uncle about it to see if it's something someone at the A&C can do it.
skadaddy
What about one of these: Plus, after it was signed, it could go right on your wall. Less Touching = More Pristine.

Haha, nah I don't want to display stuff! My family owns a sheet metal company in Kentucky, so I could probably get it for less from them if they can make it anyway. It would be more for when I want to pick up records at shows, but still get up closer. Would have been perfect for last night.
skadaddy
That was intended for the original poster. I know you actually listen to yours. (Just not immediately when you get home from a show.)

somethingvinyl
OP: nothing can stay pristine. Oil from your hands gets on the sleeve, thus altering the image forever. You should wear these when holding vinylz.http://www.amazon.com/Everlast-Train-Wrist-Heavy-14-Ounce/dp/B002ITAUP6/ref=sr_1_3?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1410547041&sr=1-3&keywords=boxing+gloves
