omik11303
This album has the potential to be awesome on vinyl, but the production is what's really letting me down right now. Seems to be a little too muddy for all that's going on. But if that's fixed on the pressing, this is a no-brainer.
drds89
"Salutations, Distant Satelites" is their best...want that one on vinyl!!! They have some very, very strong earlier material - equally or more vinyl-worthy than Heights to my ears. I listened to the new one several times last night and enjoyed it more each listen. They cover a lot of territory with diversity of sounds and very creative. They got momentum for sure cranking out some music.
Derek™
Is it wrong that I enjoyed this more than Sines? Was talking with a friend about that exactly, last night. They're a little tough to truly compare since Sines delves much further into atmosphere (and even a bit of ambience) compared to WLWM. Both are extremely solid instrumental albums for very different reasons, in my books. Tough to say which I'd "enjoy more" since that seems a little situational and based off of what I'm craving at the time I throw a record on. I wouldn't be surprised if both end up making my top 10 of the year though.
