hickey
YES!!!! I've been wanting to see that picture again for a while (probably since the last time you posted it).* Thanks Juan. *I think I say this every time Juan posts that photo.
gloamingtime
So to seriously answer your question, pick one of these up: http://www.audio-discounters.com/rd-1006.html This is a VERY good price. Nab a couple extra bottles of liquid and you're golden. Temporary solution? Probably some sort of microfiber cloth and a little bit of rubbing alcohol. But if you're into records for the long run, get the discwasher.
thrillho
if you dont have cleaner handy I'd say just take an anti-static cloth and just buff the finger prints off as best you can. don't risk doing something bad to the vinyl just to get the prints off. If you need to wait a week or so to get proper cleaning stuff you should. it shouldn't damage your LP to leave the prints on for a week to wait to clean them off properly. sleevetown.com has good cleaner that I use. cadetapplesauce
i hear any sort of chemicals are a no-no on makeshift/homemade cleaners. no idea what you're supposed to use, though...
AlexH.
I've heard 50/50 rubbing alcohol/distilled water. I used this for all my old garage sale finds and it worked well.
