ChasHawk
Never run into this problem before on any forum, ever. Already tried searching to no avail. I really like this forum so far, but have no intention of uploading my images to a new service just so I can post.

Guest
What's the file extention of the picture you are trying to post? .jpg/.png/.gif etc.
Team Avatar
yeah looks like youre pasting the URL of the page or a bbcode instead of the image url
Shitty Rambo
yeah looks like youre pasting the URL of the page or a bbcode instead of the image url I don't see any image url extension in his example so you're probably right. OP right click on the image, copy the image URL, and when you post here html it with [.img] [./img] minus the periods.
ChasHawk
Thanks for trying to help guys. I have been using photobucket and forums for years. I have 20,000+ posts on my sports card forum. NONE of the photobucket links are working. I have tried the IMG code, the direct link, the image url. I get an error EVERY time. ChasHawk
What's the file extention of the picture you are trying to post? .jpg/.png/.gif etc. I save all of those types of pics as small .jpg files.

Guest
Not a screenshot, a link to the photobucket. You also hosted that screen on photobucket and it works.
ChasHawk
looks good to me So...the ONLY way I was able to get that to work was to use a combination of Rambo and Tyler's methods. I had to right-click, copy the image URL, then paste it into the image pop-up. The error img I posted is what happens when I try to use any of my regular photobucket methods. So what gives? Guest
The img tags only accepts the direct link to the image, I think you are using the photobucket general link. It has to end in a picture extention, not anything else.
ChasHawk
give us a direct link to one of the ones you are having an issue with. Direct Link http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r232/Chas321/Records/Scorpios.jpg~original
Guest
[iMG]http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r232/Chas321/Records/Scorpios.jpg~original[/img] See how it has ~original after the file extention? That is your problem. It has to be a picture file extention, like the .jpg.

I guess I'm just finding the whole thing weird because I've never used anything other than the photobucket IMG link on any forum, ever. Just have to get used to a new way of doing things, I guess. Guest
Photobucket is old, and sucks. The boards BB system sucks, so it's the 2 causing problems in tandem. Use imgur, it's much better.
