Eliminator Jr.
I'm not one of those guys who is going to constantly bitch about stuff being too expensive now, but record collecting was way more fun then. I switched from CDs to vinyl, because around 2002 new LPs were about two bucks cheaper than its CD-companion. Buying on the secondary market stopped being fun about five years ago. Everywhere I go it's either crap or immensely overpriced.
gmoney
Perfect timing, but I'm guessing these have been planned for a little while since they are releasing next month. Also I don't know a ton about these yet. Will post when I have more info. I do know they are all 180 gram. Amazon links: Rise & Fall Of Ziggy Stardust (2012 Remaster) - Feb. 26 Man Who Sold The World (2015 Remaster) - Feb. 26 Pinups (2015 Remaster) - Feb. 26 David Bowie Aka Space Oddity - Feb. 26 These have all gone down in price a little bit. pizza face
I've NEVER seen a Bowie at a thrift store It's because I snag em all .. Jk the only Bowie record I found at a thrift shop was the orange label dynaflex Ziggy stardust at savers in nashua last year. It slightly skips once during the first track but other than that it's a listenable copy. Wouldn't mind a better one though vinyl addict
jameshays
Got my Man Who Sold the World today. If the rest are this quality I will be buying more. The jacket is textured and looks great. Included a paper sleeve and a poly/rice paper lined sleeve as well, nice extra touch.

kindredwaif
any news on when a new round of reissues will happen? perhaps diamond dogs > lodger?
recklesszurabandon
I picked up Ziggy Stardust last night, and it sounds great. Unbelievably little surface noise. Very well mixed and mastered.
fuckinandsuckinandtouchin
any news on when a new round of reissues will happen? perhaps diamond dogs > lodger? I was hoping box set #2/reissues went..Diamond Dogs through Scary Monsters. David Live 2xLP, Stage 2xLP and Re:Call 2xLp would be box exclusives and would also total 13 LP's, same as the first one. fuckinandsuckinandtouchin
'A Reality Tour' 3xLP/box is being released by Friday Music on 6/1. I still haven't checked out the whole album or DVD, but I'll probably pass mostly because of the price tag.. yikes! http://fridaymusic.com/product.aspx?pc=Y4LPFM0334&cp=80419_80591_80637&view_in=Mobile http://www.davidbowie.com/news/reality-tour-vinyl-box-due-june-55761
Eliminator Jr.
Considering the massive 'want it all, get it all'-box Converge offered with their latest live album for the same price, this is pretty much ridiculous.
kevbayer
comparing Bowie and Converge is pretty much ridiculous.
vinyl addict
Grabbed a couple of these reissues at Bowie at the Beeb. These sound great and the overall quality is top notch.
