katie
pixar is the most consistent studio out there. Did Pixar do Ratatouille? That movie was fucking awesome. I love that movie. It's fucking awesome. and I'm stoked to see wall-e. I'm contemplating getting my friend who works at the theatre to steal the giant cardboard display of him and stick it in my room, actually. gmoney
check out the reviews of this film: "Though perfection in film is a highly unlikely proposition, WALL-E indeed has become 2008's first perfect film and one of the best Pixar projects of all time." "This love story moved me more than any other in years." "A film that’s both breathtakingly majestic and heartbreakingly intimate." I will be seeing this tomorrow for sure. I cannot wait to see it again. Prepare to hear a massive uproar when it doesn't win best picture. This is the best sci-fi movie since the 50's. I am totally not kidding. cadetapplesauce
it almost serves as a serious reality check on the way our society eats, interacts with each other, and makes waste. it doesn't paint a pretty picture for our future. i know, it's just a movie, but it just kinda freaked me out, and made me wonder if our society could actually sink to that low of a level. i'll say the movie was good, but i didn't really leave the theater feeling that happy... also, the film is very minimal on the dialogue, since it's robots. it relies a lot on music and wall-e's interaction with his environment for, say, the first 45 minutes (i don't know if it's that long though). but the movie doesn't suffer from it. it was beautifully done.
