muzia02 Posted August 16, 2008 Share Posted August 16, 2008 I ordered the White Gatefold of Threes from VC earlier this summer and just got my turntable repaired. I clean the records and play them for the first time and notice that the needle skips on the track "As Far As We Go" There are no blemishes or scratches on the vinyl itself. Every other record plays beautifully on it.Was there something specific you would recommend checking? That can happen, tonearm weight can be weird. With certain warps, I have to put more weight on, but on Ghost Stories, I have to take weight off. I had skips on Demon Days until I put weight on, sometimes you have to do funky stuff. Looks there is a slight warp in the material so I just will have to remember to add more weight for this disc. Once again, you all just made my day! Thanks a bunch!
