xfactor675
man I'm not an RE employee, but do you need to pay tax on every single LPs you order??
ijux
can't be that strict?? here in norway we have to pay 25% tax on everything above 35 bucks, so that only makes it worth buying 2 records at a time
xfactor675
here in Hungary, I should pay tax on over $50 (if i know right), but i ordered a lot of times over that and luckily never "got caught"
Guest afsdan
when I send stuff overseas, I always mark the package as a 'gift'. I figured that got around the tax issue. are your gifts taxed too?
steveooo
are your gifts taxed too? I don't know the rules but I've never been taxed on anything marked gift. Customes must think someone at VC loves me because of all the 'gifts' they keep sending me
sgoodcore
when I send stuff overseas, I always mark the package as a 'gift'. I figured that got around the tax issue.are your gifts taxed too? I do the same thing. Especially when I found out the declared value doesn't work as insurance. I mark them all at $0.

frank
Germany has this "below 22 Euro tax-free" law regardless if it´s marked as gift. If it´s marked as a gift, but they´ll find an invoice inside more than 22 euro bucks, you´ll have to pay like 7% of the value. but most of the times things pass thru the customs without any charge.... By the end of the year the tax-free value will be raised to 150 Euros/ca. $230, so I won´t have any customs problems at all in the near future. Good times.... thebaroness
I've never been taxed on anything I've gotten in the mail. I guess Australia just has a good policy on import duty.

xlovecolouredx
man I'm not an RE employee, but do you need to pay tax on every single LPs you order?? i don't have to pay on every single record packet but i always try to order multiple copies for cheaper shipping price when average. it seems 10-20 usd for 2 records,20-30 usd for 3-4 records and 30+ usd for 5 records or 3 dblp....
