catalinacaper
I don't care who they sign but someone needs to get Stoudamire the ball off the pick and roll because he was one expensive paperweight out there last season.
collectivemike
Elton Brand got amnestied... (is that the right term haha?) He'd be a great pick up for someone at the MLE. Come on New York!
catalinacaper
So Lin signed the Rockets offer sheet... The Knicks claim they'll match any offer to keep him, but that's a hell of a lot to pay for a guy who's started 25 games..

He won't bring many wins, but business will be good.
catalinacaper
If thats the case, who the hell is going to play point guard in Houston now that Dragic and Lowry are gone. Nelson is staying in Orlando.. Nash is in LA.. the Rockets have really screwed themselves over this offseason..
collectivemike
I think they're giving up on this year and cleaning house.
Snaggle Von Swift
Elton Brand got amnestied... (is that the right term haha?) He'd be a great pick up for someone at the MLE. Come on New York! Truly bummed over this, love him, but the contract the Sixers gave him was definitely terrible. also, apparently Ray Allen to Miami.
catalinacaper
Damn, if Allen can stay healthy he will really provide that consistent 4th scorer option.. So the Heat's starting 5 is looking like Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Allen, Chalmers?.. That's scary.
catalinacaper
Hornets are picking up Anderson too in a sign and trade for Ayon... I really don't think the Magic should have given him up for so little. We will definitely need a decent center when Howard leaves, but I think there were better deals to be made.
collectivemike
If I'm Eric Gordon, a Davis-Rivers-Anderson core is much more enticing to play with than the Suns... I wonder if he'll change his tune.
travis
I think Miami wins it again next year. Adding Allen and Lewis is huge for that team. I really dont see anyone else even coming close on that side. I'll be interested to see how much better Nash makes the Lakers offense next season, should be fun to watch Kobe play with a legit PG for the first time in his career with the Lakers. I think it still leaves the Lakers behind OKC but I think that will be the Western Finals.
collectivemike
Looking at the Eastern playoffs... Chicago is in danger of being out next year, but will probably be a lower half seed. New York got better. Brooklyn will be in the playoffs. Atlanta's out. Indiana/NY should battle for the two seed, Boston will stick to four. Definitely nobody in the East can hang with Miami though. The west doesn't look like it'll shake out too much differently - maybe the Clippers will move up a spot or two.
travis
This could be very bad http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/story/_/id/8160453/los-angeles-clippers-blake-griffin-injures-knee-team-usa-camp-report-says
collectivemike
This could be very bad http://espn.go.com/l...amp-report-says To tell you the truth, I like Davis on the team better than Griffin. If I could have picked he would have been on it from the start - James Harden shouldn't be there at all. Igoudala is on the fence but I think he'll be a solid glue guy for them... play good defense, hit a shot when needed. Definitely not good for the Clippers though haha. travis
Yea I meant it was bad for the Clippers. Team USA will be fine with or without him, they wont lose a game. As much as I love Kobe, I think I have to side with Barkley in saying the OG Dream Team would beat this 2012 USA team. Magic, Jordan, Pippen, Stockton, Malone, Bird, Ewing, Robinson...the list goes on. That might possibly be the greatest team any sport has ever seen. collectivemike
I'm with you on that. There's no way they'd be within 20 points of the 1992 team. I doubt Durant would even make that team. PS did you get my PM?
Guest
jordan lol's @ kobe i mean, i get it. have confidence, and have faith in your very good team to go out and win every game. but come on, man...
collectivemike
Happy to see Igoudala play so well last night. Travis - what do you think about the Lakers going after Elton Brand/Jermaine O'Neal/Antwan Jamison?
Snaggle Von Swift
well, lost respect for Jason Kidd.
jase
well, lost respect for Jason Kidd. For drink driving? Do you not remember him beating his wife? How could anyone have respect for him after that? Wife beating >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> drink driving
Snaggle Von Swift
Don't think I ever recall hearing about him beating his wife, I wasn't big into basketball 10 years ago. But yeah, that will trump the drunk driving. What a shithead.
Guest
ive gotten a kick out of that... so many knee jerk reactions to this regarding his character, when it doesnt even come close to what hes done before. itd be like losing respect for metta world peace for the harden elbow. ha
jase
Except Metta world peace is legit insane. Jason Kidd comes across as a self absorbed cunt
