troymess
Like mentioned above, I didn't get a chance to grab this on CD, however, I'd definitely buy this on vinyl. Any color...

cactusbot
Are you going through the band or Tooth & Nail? Tooth & Nail have been slightly difficult to work with so far. Well, they have been really nice, I have just been in contact with them since February about a release and they are really slow at responding to emails. cactusbot
Jim. I didn't email Chad. I talked to Shelby from Frodus and he told me to talk to Jim about licensing. Should I be talking to Chad instead?
counterfiction
depends on whether or not Jim is Frodus' A&R rep. Chad is the rep for Cities and he's been cool to deal with.
cactusbot
I am not dealing with any band's A&R in particular. I just am trying to get licensing and Jim is the guy I was pointed to who deals with that.
daniel
I would buy it no doubt but I'd really prefer Come Now, Sleep. I like the sound a lot more on the second record. Edit: Ah shit. I'm not going to complain. Any ACB would be awesome. The Widow is such a beautiful song too.
counterfiction
^ the production is better on the second record but the first has better songs, IMO
daniel
Yeah, I'm just not as much into screaming as I am into the more alternative sound that they brought with the angsty clean vocals and yells. Regardless, this thread has me listening to Son again and I like it a lot no question. I would definitely buy a copy!
riddle350
I actually really hate the production on the second one. Everything sounds to clean and shiny.
heavyheavylowlow
I don't really consider them the same band that put out Son anymore. I like Come Now Sleep alot (except for the first song, which I hate untill the acoustic bit at the end, which is awesome) and to be honest, I think they did the right thing distinguishing themselves from the rest of the christian hardcore crowd. counterfiction
yeah. things change when you no longer have a dedicated vocalist. cody also writes all the music and that's the direction he's heading in.
Guest falloutcollapse
Yeah man, like I said, I'll totally buy this. But if you put out Come Now, Sleep, I will jump on that so fast.
daniel
I agree with you, although I think they stood out to me from the beginning. More influence on alternative and less on metal did them a lot of good in my opinion. It was useless of me to nitpick. I like both albums a lot. Now that I'm listening to Son again I'm glad I'm not the person who made the decision of which album to press. I'm also curious, as I've thought about this much myself, do you ever hesitate to buy an album because you absolutely cannot stand the first song? I never bought the Mars Volta's Amputechture because I'd rather just listen to an MP3 of lesser quality than have to sit through track 1 and a couple other drawn out, ambient tracks.
