But at the same time i want to build it out of wood that isnt extremley heavy so when it comes time to move it's not a pain in the ass so im not sure how well that will work out. Duff Posted January 21, 2009 Share Posted January 21, 2009 as long as you know what youre doing making your own shelving is the way to go. that way it suits your needs and you can custom make each shelf to the dimensions you want. im still working on my shelves but its such a time consuming project i havent been able to finish it. skumbucket Posted January 21, 2009 Share Posted January 21, 2009 if i can find my pictures i'll post them. i put them in the old storage thread. mine is a custom-built LP shelf from the radio station i work at. when they cleared out their vinyl stock i offered to take one of the shelves off their hands. sadly, it was built for purpose and not for looks, but it works really well.
