mcm1610
West Aspen Merch is pretty terrible. I bit the bullet and paid their ridiculous shipping prices, and for the price, I assumed it would be delivered by a limo and presented on a pillow. My two NFG albums arrived, the s/t was 4 for 4 on broken edges. Sticks and Stones went 2 for a possible 3. The two albums came with no padding in a box that could probably ship 12+ albums at once. At least they arrived fairly quickly...
ericxthexred
when i ordered from drive thru a few years ago (they had a huuuuge vinyl blow out sale, got those NFG lps for $5) they sent me like 8 LPs in a box that was about 8" thick. luckily nothing got destroyed. they seriously are the dumbest people in the world tho, next to FBR. mcm1610
And the s/t skipped twice on Eyesore. :/
cadetapplesauce
weak. they do have pretty bad shipping prices though. whoever handles jade tree's mailorder also likes to rape you.

slymer
I received the same 2 NFG records yesterday. They came in good shape, although the packaging was crappy like you described. I haven't listened to them yet though. I got a little excited when I first saw the gigantic box on my doorstep. I thought it was some long lost order I had forgotten about. slymer
sticks and stones is still avail? It was Sat. night. Looks like they're out now. They'll probably find a long lost box of them pretty soon.
mcm1610
Well, I don't think my s/t is damaged, but the innermost songs on both sides skip a bit. I even tried to weigh my needle down with a dime like that TITR thread talked about, and while it helped on one side, the other still skips once. gravitylovesdrunks
this shit better not get fucked up. 16 bucks to ship two records is ludicrous enough.
xxmartinxx
You people are the only people on earth to complain about a shipping box being too big.
slymer
You people are the only people on earth to complain about a shipping box being too big. I wasn't complaining. It just got my hopes up. Besides, this is what message boards are for.
mcm1610
It's not the fact that it's too big, but that it's too big and not packed with shock-absorbing material. I don't know about you, but I tend to like it when my stuff isn't bouncing around in there. It's like if I shipped you a glass and threw it in a box for a TV. If it breaks, who cares? I packed it just fine, right?
xxmartinxx
It's safer to have them bounce around in a box too big then smashed and dropped in a form fitted box. I've had records damaged because the box was too small, never because it was too big.
chubbler108
this shit better not get fucked up. 16 bucks to ship two records is ludicrous enough. Exactly. I paid the exact same amount in shipping as I did for the records. If these show up damaged, ESPECIALLY Sticks and Stones, I'm going to be pissed as hell. haha.
