timwt
Most notably Descendents = I don't Want to Grow Up and Gorrilla Biscuits - Start Today. I'm pretty sure they're both first presses, but does anyone know exactly how I can tell? The Gorilla Biscuits records has the CT address for Rev so that's why I think -that's a first press. Both are on black.
mxv
If the Descendents is on New Alliance Records, it is the first press. I can't help you with the GB stuff, all that youth crew stuff was what got me out of hardcore for a very long time but I think maybe ht efirst press had a gatefold sleeve or came on color vinyl. That CT address at the very least denotes a very early pressing.
xfedupx
If the GB is first press, the letters will be embossed
appendicitis
would think if first press you won't have bar codes either
timwt
Awesome. Both are first presses then. The Descendents record has some wear from the years, but the GB record looks good.
scottheisel
I like how "really old" = under 25 years. I thought we were gonna be talking about some Miles Davis LPs up in here!
timwt
I guess the really old is misleading. Stuff 20 years old is still old to me.
kurtz
I was expecting older stuff as well. Does your friend want to give away any more records?
rivals
That CT address at the very least denotes a very early pressing. This motivated me to check the one my now ex gf gave me a few years back and it has the CT address. Sweet.

The Descendents record is 28 years old. False. It's 23 years old. Came out in 1985.
brentoage
actually, milo goes to college came out in 1982 on new alliance. therefore, it's approaching the 26 year old mark.

Yes, but we're talking about I Don't Want To Grow Up. Which came out in 1985, which is 23 years (22 depending on release date).
timwt
These were definitely a score cause he gave them to me for free. His uncle gives him a ton of records all the time I guess. I asked him if he had any Jawbreaker and he told me he thinks so and when he goes to his parents house next he's going to check and give them to me.
