Wallis Run isn't just another run-of-the-mill (no pun intended) punk folk band... they're a punk folk band with a little something extra: a theme. All of their songs revolve (pun incredibly intended) around the revolutionary war. Their forthcoming album, which is set to hit stores - no foolin' - on April 1, is 17 tracks and a whopping 76 minutes. "If you don't understand why right away, you're not going to," said frontman Dale Harrison when asked about the length of their 2x12" vinyl-only release.

Minimalism seems to be another underlying theme (well, as minimalist as a nearly 80 minute album can be) as drummer Brendan Rios plays an only 4-piece kit while Eli Duvall plays an upright 3-string bass. Yeah, you read that right. All three members contribute to the songwriting of the group, both musically and lyrically. This album really is a trip through time, and you'll come out on the other side happy you took it.

Sounds Like: Something that will make you wonder why you were skeptical about it before you listened.

I Don't Know Which Half is the 5th studio album from Parnassius Kiritshenkoi. The Minnesota four piece proves that you don't have to evolve over the course of career so long as you keep your fans happy. They have done just that with yet another Indie rocker.

you should see the album cover from their debut...

it took some digging to find, but here's their debut album. it's an EXTREME rarity limited to only 8 test pressings, as the label to which Wallis Run were signed at the time folded before it could be released. legal issues surrounding the ownership rights leave this release all but unheard to the public, unless you're one of the lucky 8 people to own this treasure. pressed in 2005, there is an ongoing battle to obtain the rights and have this album see a proper release.

Hase Seishu is a mysterious post-rock collective comprised of more than 50 members playing just as many instruments. They play only unannounced shows in unorthodox locations and situations - everywhere from rainy midnight forests to Ustoreit lockers. Our Own Belt has been released exclusively on 16" 78rpm and is handnumbered to 78.
