scottheisel
Seriously, I barely own any jazz on vinyl because whenever I start buying some of the audiophile reissues, I can't stop. I will tell you this, however; the following jazz records sound fucking incredible on wax:
burntwolf
yea, i'm sure they do... even getting into jazz is crazy...you start w/ one guy, then end up buying stuff from the other guys on it and it goes on and on... at least a bunch of the CDs are cheap...or plentiful in the used bin...(unless you start picking up the RVG remasters) i'm really only into be-bop/hard bop from about 1955-1962, and there are still tons of albums out there i haven't got to...after about 12 of 15 years of being into jazz... kurtz
My friend's dad is a huge jazz buff and he has hundreds of obscure jazz LPs. It is awesome to browse his collection and only recognize about 25 names.

scottheisel
I need that coltrane/johnny hartman LP for sure. Dude, seriously, it is the sexiest record you'll ever own. I'm not afraid to admit that I've bedded a few of the fairer sex with that record as the soundtrack.
