gimonsarfunkel
Does anyone here like Motor or other indie electronic music?
robotnerd
this isn't strictly a punk related site, it just happens that a lot of collector's on here are into mostly punk music. but we have a fair amount of diversity.

gimonsarfunkel
Man, my roommates can't get into Keith. I'm nuts over Dr. Dooom. What was he like when you met him?
flood
my friend abby interviewed him, and he just kept talking about porn, and store he liked to shop at. we got to watch his set from the eaves of the stage on warped.. he was amazing live tho.. i think his dj was the bassist from bodycount

Guest scriptedrain
I'm into a lot more than "punk." - Jeff
hickey
Kool Keith is what's keeping hip-hop alive. Dr. Octagon was earth-shattering. Dooom was an amazing follow. I really dug Sex Style too. The new Dr. Octagon album was really weak though. You should check out Critical Beatdown by the Ultramagnetic MCs if you want to hear old-school Keith at his finest. That stands today as one of the best hip-hop albums of all time. EDIT: Oh, and Keith did a track on Prince Paul's A Prince Among Thieves called Weapon World that may be one of the best tracks he ever did...un-effing-real. gimonsarfunkel
I agree. The new Doc Oct album is pretty weak. But in all fairness how could you follow that album? I've got a repressing of Critical Beatdown and I just burned it onto a cd. Freakin' love that album. Give the Drummer Some is key. (I should have renamed this thread Kool Keith)
faith
Most people don't even listen to "punk" here.
gimonsarfunkel
"Punk" lol. Yeah, punk more of an attitude than a genre I guess is what I meant. Who knows. (that's 2 now)
hickey
I'm sure this will make some punk-rockers really sad but Kool Keith is probably more punk rock than half of the supposed "punk" bands out there.
steventangent
I've noticed that, within the same post, people will talk about Dillinger Escape Plan AND Matt Pond PA. It seems like most people here like a pretty wide variety.
ronniethebear
I'm into lots of stuff, from Botch to Otis Redding. Or from 13th Floor Elevators to Bjork.
gimonsarfunkel
Yeah. This place is great for everybody here I've come in contact with so far. Variety variety variety. Open minded people make for smart and interesting conversations. I can dig it.

twat
Anyone else seen bodycount? I saw them at the 2003 Warped in San Francisco. It should have been cool. Instead it was just funny. I saw them here in Fl. about 5 years ago. This fest called Sun & Steel. THey played b4 Testament. It was funny half the crowd was into it. The other half wasnt at all. Ice t had a stripper on stage grinding on him. Good times. My buddy saw them back in the day when the cop killer cd dropped. T was still doing his rap sat then would do a BC. set. There were cops surrounding the entire venue in case of a riot.
