athomewithkyle
I just started collecting less than two months ago and I already have bought 30 records. I'm thinking I'm going to have to slow down the pace a bit so I can save up for a car and college.
oakland
I set myself a budget of $50 a month. So far, in six months, I'm about $800 over budget.

wadeboggs
It's getting to that point. Every since comming across this board collecting vinyl has gotten much more exciting.

skumbucket
my vinyl budget consists of whatever's left over after i pay rent and bills every month. which is something i need to pare down a fair bit.

Guest falloutcollapse
my budget is the worst. it is whatever pennies and dollar bills my parents leave in their cars or forget to get at stores.
oakland
It's actually kind of tough because I have the money to spend, I just don't think it's OK when there's so much more important stuff in the world. People starving, etc.
skumbucket
i usually don't think about stuff like that. i'm very selfish and totally insular in my worldview.

biggiesized
After rent and all my other bills....I can go nuts. I have been going dirty lately, buying whatever I want. but I haven't really had money to blow on what I want for the past year. So I guess I am making up for lost time. Besides,my girlfriend blows a shitload more on books than I do on records every month.
cadetapplesauce
i don't even want to know how much i spend on vinyl. but to put in some sort of perspective, on payday, on average, i have about $1,000-1,100 in my account. by the next payday (2 and 1/2 weeks later) it's around $950 (at the highest) or $850 (at the lowest). this includes lunch at work, and other non-vinyl expenses. concert tickets, gas, etc... keevhren
i can usually handle a budget fairly well when it comes to vinyl... ill only pay so much for some records, but if its BR and i dont have it, there's basically no limit.

scottheisel
I dropped about $100 between Vinyl Collective and 29 North orders this week already, and felt pretty bad about it, until one of my co-workers came into my office today wearing a new cardigan. I asked him how much it was, and he replied "Not too much; about $270." I am completely content with wearing band T-shirts and jeans and using my extra money on records instead of fancy clothing.
