casey
Their first and last LPs were so good. I ended up going with Enginedown. What youse think?
drabley
Pretense. By a country mile. (and finally, something to do with a band I actually care about)
rtw88
Pretense for sure. I personally can't stand the S/T.
thisisahiijack
can't stand the last album. demure was the best, i think. all the earlier stuff was good as well though. though their split with twelve hour turn was my favorite of the earlier material. scottheisel
Demure beats pretty much anything that most bands released in the past decade.

jurrobear
I love the S/T album, does Lookout still carry the LP?
casey
I love the S/T album, does Lookout still carry the LP? I got it from Insound real cheap.
deafmx
http://store.lovitt.com/artists/2-engine-down/product/41-engine-down-lp-lov042 lovitt has the s/t album. i believe they did the vinyl actually. Demure <3 without a doubt. Pretense and s/t are great too. love them all really, though.
pastepunk
Demure all the way. Miss this band, saw them so many times at the Black Cat in DC. Perfect venue for them.
troymess
Demure and the S/T are both fantastic in their own way.
drabley
I can't argue with anyone here as I love Engine Down and pretty much anything Keeley Davis has his fingerprints on. But Demure? I followed this band from essentially day one...and Demure is one of their weaker albums to me. Strange, since it seems to be the most cherished by the majority of responses. Funny how it works, I guess. Speaking of Keeley -- Scott -- what's up with that Heks Orkest 7" project you were on about a while back? forgeagain
Demure is easily the best. I hated the S/T when I first heard it, but it grew on me eventually. Definitely their attempt at going mainstream, but whatever. To Bury Within a Sound was good but isn't without its flaws. The early stuff is pretty blah. scottheisel
Speaking of Keeley -- Scott -- what's up with that Heks Orkest 7" project you were on about a while back? It's on the back burner right now until they have more songs recorded. I think it will still happen (we more or less agreed we would do it), but I didn't feel comfortable releasing a 7-inch of two songs that had already been made available for free download. Guest afsdan
To Bury Within the Sound, by far. the song "intent to pacify" is a classic S/T is a pile of "we wanna be big" garbage, while Demure and Pretense are equally excellent in their own way. I saw them play songs from Demure before it came out. It was 2am, I was about to fall asleep at the table, when they finally started playing and blew the room away. well worth the wait.
