zak138
I finally got around to listening to Dead to Me and I can't help but think "Gee, the new One Man Army record really sucks." I also noticed that Dead to Me came out and was automatically more popular than One Man Army and I can't figure out why? Please asplain. phantommaggot
They got released through Fat.

Fartcat
I love both bands, but I'd say I was more excited to see how Dead To Me's new album would turn out.
zak138
I didn't wanna say it, but my guess was that no OMA records ever got colored vinyl release treatment from Fat, that's probably it.

Fartcat
I dunno, sure, I bet theres quite a few who just picked it up because it was on color, but I know alot of people on this board to be huge Dead To Me fans who probably were just psyched to hear the record, or a few sceptics who wanted to hear how they sounded without Jack

Fat never released any OMA records, other than a Fat Club 7" which was on colored vinyl.
chiefwahoo
I bought Last Word Spoken when it came out and there were only about two songs that stood out to me. And I listened to it a ton. So I figured One Man Army wasn't for me. I eventually bought Cuban Ballerina. I didn't know the OMA singer was in the band or I probably wouldn't have. As it turns out, I love that LP, I think it's great. In my opinion, the songs are just that much better. It certainly doesn't have anything to do with the label. jimmythescumbag
I enjoy both bands, but since I was a OMA fan to start with... One Man Army > Dead to Me
xjustinxschwierx
I was a moderate OMA fan first too...but DTM is way better.

slymer
I prefer Dead to Me. The best thing OMA ever released was the split with Alkaline Trio.
eddieruckus
I dont think it has anything to do with vinyl or colored vinyl , The crowds Dead to Me draws are way bigger than the OMA shows Ive been and I dont think everyone in the crowd digs them because they bought some rare vinyl record. Most of the people I know that dig Dead to Me over OMA could give a shitless about what color theyre record is on and probably didnt even know they have a record on vinyl. Vinyl collectors are such a small percentage of their fanbase.
