scottheisel
aka "Hey, look, I started a record label because I like throwing fistfuls of money I don't have at records people probably won't want to buy!" Information on YCR-001 coming soon. In the meantime, can we talk about how badass my logo is? I mean, really, look at that thing!
sgoodcore
That logo is nicely done.
scottheisel
And I'm idiot for putting this in the completely wrong forum! Mods, can someone move it?
burdenx
Have you ever considered that rather than writing about and releasing music, it would be much more satisfying to actually pick up an instrument and make something worthwhile and eternal? Just a thought.

Just a thought. I've been in bands before but don't have enough time to be in a full-time band at this point in my life. Thus, I contribute however I can. burdenx
Cool, thanks for not taking that the wrong way. Just something I've wondered.

Fartcat
Look at the logo upside-down. It's like a bearded elf ghost thing. It looks alot like a spaced out lawn gnome. Congrats though Scott, can't wait to see what you got up your sleeve.
syr667
i love the elf. hilarious, and makes the slipmat idea even better. as for the logo itself, i know you really want it to be the O in the text, but it's so big it feels like a square peg. it makes the text look really unfocused. i'd probably move the logo to the left of the text and actually use typed Os. then on releases you could always save space by turning "records records records..." into "youth conspiracy records" circling. it's a small cosmetic thing that i think would make a world of difference. otherwise i think it's great. curious to see what you put out into the world. axlrose
This is like when Dre left Death Row to form After Math. Scott...Does that make Aubin Suge Knight?
scottheisel
This is like when Dre left Death Row to form After Math. Scott...Does that make Aubin Suge Knight? Well, Aubin did hang me outside of a hotel room window by my ankles during Punk Rock Bowling one weekend... As for what kind of music I'll be releasing, I think it's safe to say that it will either be music influenced by mid-to-late-'90s emo/screamo/post-hardcore bands, or groups with former members of mid-to-late-'90s emo/screamo/post-hardcore bands. At least that's what the first two releases will fit into...
scottheisel
By the way, I hope to be officially announcing YCR-001 before the weekend's through. Just wanna have the paperwork sent off to the pressing plant first.
cactusbot
You going to use that new plant in Cleveland?
scottheisel
You going to use that new plant in Cleveland? Yup! Pretty excited about it -- they said I could come down and listen to my test presses right there onsite. Talk about a time saver!
geezfools
I'd join a band but then I would actually have to be talented or at least know more then three chords or how to hold a beat or sing or something, but I don't, so thats why I screen print. Though I am picking up the harmonica slowly enough and am starting to get some serious bends in there, stoked! Watch out ragan
