fourfourtwo
A: a lot. I'm currently in Ohio going to Chicago with everything I own. Besides it being a boring ass state (at least to drive through) it's taking forever. What's the furthest any of you have ever moved? I'm just glad I could fit everything in my car. Guest
I am attempting to get down to Milwaukee and the moving itself won't suck too much because I don't have much but getting a fucking job has been a serious pain in the ass.
mcm1610
I moved to London, England for a while but took next to nothing with me. College moving was 2.5 hours to Syracuse, and for a summer, 5ish hours to Albany. Real, legit "everything I own" moving has been done about 5 times in the last 4 years but all in a 2 mile box between North Buffalo and Tonawanda. krepunk
I just moved almost 600km (370milles) this weekend, and yeah it sucks. I hired a moving company to haul all of my stuff though but I packed and unpacked the all boxes (with the help of my girlfriend) and I had to hang curtains... And yeah, records were easily the heaviest boxes.
fourfourtwo
How much did the moving company cost?
j4m35
new jersey to chicago that sucked. pennsylvania is the worst state to drive through, imo. i moved from logan square, chicago to uptown, chicago (about 5 miles) this past spring, which kind of sucked but i was able to do it in two trips. Guest eriathomas
I feel bad for you if you are driving on the turnpike in Ohio, it's so flat and boring.
One Hundred Fifty-Two
If furniture is involved you may as well just shoot yourself.

fourfourtwo
I'm doing NYC to Chicago. I liked Penn though, cause it was pretty. Ohio is not. There is no furniture involved, so no shooting is occurring.

We have terrible roads, but at least the ride isn't dull. There's hills, turns, tunnels, etc... Driving through Ohio is soooooooooo boring. Nothing happens. thesupervillain
This is the first year in 10 years I haven't moved. For the last 10 years I'd sign a one year lease, and then move when it was up. Feels so good.

Driving through Ohio is soooooooooo boring. Nothing happens. this time last year i was driving from chicago to new jersey to go home for my birthday, and right as i entered pennsylvania i threw up all over myself. i had eated some sort of bean soup from au bon pain earlier in the day because i wanted to keep my stomach light, but needed the energy to drive. so, i'm on 80. as soon as i start throwing up, i pull the fuck over. i keep on vomiting for like 5 minutes, just all over myself because the onset was way too sudden for me to open a window. i got off at the next exit, just to try to find some place to clean up and change my pants/shirt. i fucking get out of my car on some middle-of-nowhere road in the goddamn pennsylvania boondocks and i have to change my clothes ugh it sucked. i just have bad memories of driving through pa, maybe thats why i hate it so much. COOL STORY BRO
mrc
In the last 11 years i have moved twice. 1999 - Tampa to Jax 2010 - Jax to Tampa But all my furniture, dishes, TVs... are all still up there. When i moved down to tampa last month i brought my laptop, records, stereo, some work clothes and a pillow. It was the easiest move ever. Moving the rest of my shit down in 6-8 months is going to be terrible, because when you live in a house for 11 years you accumulate a ton of shit. its insane. benchwarmer
The thing I hate the most about driving through NJ is that I can't pump my own fucking gas!!! The last time I was driving through it was about 5am, and there was a huge line for gas because there was only 1 guy working on the turnpike. so lame.
