mclz
So the only thing I noticed so far was the copying text in the searches (which was really needed). What else has been done?
mcm1610
How'd you update? My Droid X didn't / has no notification.
mclz
I just turned my phone on this morning and it told me there was a system update available.
kgry
What did you update to, 2.2.1?
lonesomexloveus
are you talking about froyo?
dynamitekid
I updated on friday and it tucked up my phone to the point I had to do a factory reset. But now for some reason its still updated and it works great.
steviex2shoes
Depends on the phone, its probably not the Froyo update, but I guess it could be. I know my HTC Incredible just had a phone update probably a month ago which added more programs I can't delete off it...
mclz
and yeah, its 2.2.1 now.

kyacrash
you guys don't have froyo yet? I don't understand why certain carriers and handsets don't push the updates as soon as they are released. hell my nexus one should have gingerbread by the end of the year. kyacrash
...the hell's Froyo? Froyo is Android 2.2. It was a huge update released a few months ago. Amongst other things added Adobe Flash support, 720p video recording (handset specific), wifi tethering, increased overall speed. Android 2.3, Gingerbread, was released to developers this past Monday. It should start rolling out to consumers by the end of the year. Improvements are said to be massive UI overhaul, new keyboard, and a bunch of other shit. If you want to get more out of your phone, check out XDA Developer's Forums, http://forum.xda-developers.com/index.php. Lots of stuff on how to root and unlock your phone, add customer roms, kernels and apps.

Nexus S will become the new developer phone, but Nexus One will still be first in line to get the OTA update.
