catalinacaper
Has anyone else seen it?! Easily one of the best scary movies of my lifetime.
xadamhudsonx
I'm really interested in seeing it... I've been hearing similar reviews and haven't heard too many other bad ones. Looking forward to it.
daniel
Was it actually decent? Looked stupid as hell to me. Plus the ghost thing looks like Darth Maul.
patron
Looked stupid as hell to me. This. Although I might go see it on cheap night since I've got a gift card I want to use up.
catalinacaper
Honestly I went and saw it because I caught the last ten minutes of it at work and I had goosebumps. The movie is legitimately scary, and not in the Saw way or the cheesey ripper kind of way. No blood at all, its pure suspense-driven scariness. riddle350
weird I was told the exact opposite

wiggs1441
My older brother saw it last night. He said the movie is one of the scariest he's seen. Im going to see it tonight.
c8a9l
Very cheesy plot line. Its not difficult to put people in the shadows to make you jump. Could of made the main villain scarier, he did look like darth maul. The whole going to find his kid part wasn't that great. The movie was very Paranormal Activity like, couldn't see many of the saw elements in it.
kyacrash
saw this tonight based on this thread alone. very disappointed, I thought it was super cheesy. and yes the villain looked like darth maul
riddle350
I heard it wasn't scary at all
tattoomike
I heard it wasn't scary at all That's because it's not scary. A little creepy, but not scary by a long shot. But then that's not the point. It's an homage to Poltergeist in a style quite similar to Raimi's best work (Evil Dead and Drag Me To Hell). It's a little cheesy by design. I mean come on people, when you see a kinda silly looking demon sharpening it's claws to Tiny Tim while surrounded by carnival toys you've gotta understand it's not to be taken seriously. But then the opening credits should've alluded to that. I loved it. I loved the cheesy, the lack of CGI, the absolutely perfect score, the shotgun ghost family, the casting of Barbara Hershey as an homage to "The Entity". crime
weird I was told the exact opposite So was I. A bunch of the people I work with have seen it and they all said it was horrible. But I don't think they're scarey movie type people to begin with.
roadmonkey
I'm kinda interested int his, but I've been super burnt by Horror movies these days. Mainly cause it's clear that the damn thing was edited to appease the PG-13 rating standards instead of sticking to your balls with Rated R. 14 - 17 year olds will still fins a way to see the thing if it is R, why not give them and everyone who loves horror the ride they really deserve. Meh I'll prollie rent it.
