ronniethebear
I voted yes, even though I think the show should have ended 3 or 4 seasons before it did. There was so much great mythology set up that never got any real payoff (namely the Mulder's sister/alienz angle). Still an awesome show, and way better than most of the shit that was on around the same time.
Guest baseball
Always enjoyed the show. Did get pretty poor at the end though.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I think everything up to the movie was incredible, then after the movie things started getting a little stale... the last two seasons were one long episode that was kinda stupid, but this show was so good early on that it pretty much negates the last 2 seasons lameness
Guest scriptedrain
It had its time. I do want to see the new movie, though, so yes.
roadmonkey
Yes.. but No to the movie sequel.. I think it's too late to ressurect the franchise and the movie isn't going to even involve the mythology.
flood
it was the best scifi series ever, until they took scully and mulder out as the main characters... ugh. the final show was a huge let down too. but the first 7 seasons were solid

thebaroness
so fucking awesome up until about season 5, then it kinda lost the plot for me Even so, season 1-3 are absolutely classic
devilstrombone
Even after all these years this show creeps the hell out of me. Especially the episode in the first season with seth green. Him with long hair is creepy.
Guest genericinsight
I actually love a good portion of the whole series. While I'm not a fan of the Doggett episodes, some of the stand alone/non mythology ones during those seasons were good. I would buy the DVD's but since both the Sci-Fi Channel and TNT rerun the episodes so often I don't see any real need to.
borf
I'm with you. Bringing in the T-1000 = Jumping the shark? Yeah I think they jumped it around there...not necessarily because of Lance but they were pulling some plugs to keep it goin. And anybody who doesnt believe, Ween is on the XFiles movie soundtrack. That is a true stamp of quality.
lokithelion
Amazing series, and the stand alone (non-mythology) episodes of the last two seasons were amazing. Burt Reynolds as God and the Brady Bunch episodes in particular.

Burt Reynolds as God and the Brady Bunch episodes in particular. I myself was a fan of the human bat episode, the one with the little boy who came back from the dead to avenge his kidnapper, and the kid/mom who were really living insects. Those episodes were great from the last two seasons.
