thewmatic
one eighty by summer is one of their only songs i enjoyed as much as tayf
Guest
one eighty by summer = best tbs song. your own disaster (the produced version) = second best tbs song. wywtb > tayf > louder now > any other crap theyve produced
thewmatic
not really crazy about the over production after the first album, not to mention Fred Mascherino's music sucks compared to John Nolan post TAYF.
youmightbewrong
Excited to see them again in San Diego, although I arranged the show I would go to around my work schedule, even booked my room, and I swear that it said SD was the 28th(record release date), and when I got my tickets, they say Friday the 24th. I would never knowingly pay 30 bucks more for a room on a weekend if I could avoid it. Weird. Anyhoo, I still love this band, and John Nolan looks more and more like Jesus every day . mcpherson123
not really crazy about the over production after the first album, not to mention Fred Mascherino's music sucks compared to John Nolan post TAYF. Yeah, shit kept getting sleeker and sleeker after TAYF. It was acceptable on WYWTB but everything after was way too much and there were only a few good tracks on those albums. Not sure what to expect with this one. "El Paso" is an OK track but nothing like TBS has ever been. Its interesting.
Rip
"Ghost Man On Third" will probably always be my favorite TBS song.
mhansel411
"Ghost Runner On Third" will probably always be my favorite TBS song. Is it not ghost "man" on third? And my favorite as well.
Rip
Fuck me, yeah it is, haha. I was thinking of the band Ghost Runner On Third when I typed that for some reason. Thanks for pointing that out!
mhansel411
Yeah. Wasn't trying to call you out on TBS trivia! But seriously... When's this getting pressed? Seems like a topic Travis may know something Bout?
Rip
Haha I knew you weren't man! But apparently from what I've read earlier in the thread, there isn't any plans for this to be pressed as of right now, which sucks... I only have "Tell All Your Friends" on vinyl, and I'm one of the few who actually enjoy everything they've done. I do want all of their stuff sooner or later, but since all of their albums after TAYF don't seem to be limited, I'm not in a hurry. I just think it'd be cool to just have their very first one AND their newest one. It's like... same lineup, but almost a different band in a way, haha. Guest
tayf is also all i have (well, decade 7" too..).. even though wywtb is my favorite. but the only reason i have that is because i took on an internet friendship with this girl on livejournal many years ago (lol) and her dad had a copy that he didnt need. so she sent it to me. yeahh.. but if anyones got a blue copy of wywtb that theyre willing to sell/trade, get at me. because my collection needs that. mcm1610
My favorite TBS song is actually the acoustic version of You're So Last Summer from "Punk Goes Acoustic". "If I'm just bad news, then you're a liar. If I'm just bad news, you had me right all along."
One Hundred Fifty-Two
Dude who else really likes the new album? I think it is great.
lonesomexloveus
this album is better than the last one, but that's not saying much.
One Hundred Fifty-Two
I like it more than New Again and even Louder Now not as good as the first two though. Mostly glad that it stopped the perpetuation of every album getting worse.

Rip
There hasn't been a TBS album I haven't enjoyed. And I do really like this one, but it did disappoint me a little bit. I wasn't expecting it to sound like TAYF of course, but I was at least expecting it to not sound like they got their original lineup back. brandnew
Best to worst:New Again Louder Now Tell All Your Friends Taking Back Sunday Where You Want To Be Wow...New Again? They played a 19 song set (i think) when I saw them, and not one from New Again. Didn't think anybody liked that one. Glad someone appreciates it, though--not a waste. scottheisel
I absolutely adore New Again. I just don't get the hate toward it. "Summer, Man" and "Everything Must Go!" are two of TBS's best songs EVER.
