And when I look it up it shows the same one but with Crosley labels and I know a lot of people say Crosley's suck. I just want to know if it's a good turntable / is it worth buying
slinch
$200?!? That's $180 more than it's worth. For $35 more: http://cgi.ebay.com/Pro-ject-Debut-Iii-D....item3f0 b3e7741
almightyseancore
it looks nice. nicer than the other ones they sell. but from my experience USB tables are cheap crap. a friend of mine owns one, and i refuse to let him play my records on it. this one looks much nicer than his tho. mdb
Slinch speaks the truth. That's an incredible deal on the pro-ject!

mcpherson123
The idea behind that one is that it is meant to be good. But seriously, its a pretty coveted model of turntable these days.

I have the Pro-Ject Debue III. Great turntable. They regularly retail for about $300 (or $399 for the USB Debue III). Keep in mind that you will need a pre-amp with this turntable as well. I bought a Pro-Ject one for about $50.
faceghost
I also know nothing about pre-amps. What's the difference between a cheaper one and a more expensive one? Also what are some good ones?
gumbycross
dont get it! You'll regret it. Especially for that price. Regardless, Crosley will eat your records for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Listen to Slinch, wish i got my Project for that price.

Unless your turntable comes with one built in (and the Pro-Ject does not), you'll need a pre-amp. It amplifies the sound coming from your turntable before it goes through your receiver. Without it you'll have really low sound levels. I use this one and have no complaints: http://www.project-audio.com/main.php?prod=phonobox&cat=boxes〈=en
