andrewlucas
Has this ever been pressed on vinyl? Or attempted? If you dont know who this band is, they are pretty awesome. But they broke up a few years back.
deafmx
I wish. I like to give Volcom hell on the board about pressing what they released on cd in their singles club thread. i'd buy any and all Vaux vinyl if it existed. I think one of their new bands released some vinyl even :-/ South Park made me really want Vaux vinyl again!! grr.
andrewlucas
hmm... maybe we can try to get this to happen. we'll just ask for the rights and then press 2 copies for us, since were the only people who know about them. haha.

larsensteiner
Vaux on vinyl would be major awesomeness. Love their stuff, especially "There must be some way to stop the"...
astrangerwithcandy
I've been wanting this pressed for awhile.
andrewlucas
it was independently released right? i dont think it would be that hard to make it happen. 200 copies on grey vinyl... or maybe white...

mindovermatter
This has always been one of my favorite bands! I even went so far as to order the hand-pressed versions of Beyond Virtue, Beyond Vice before they were able to get an actual CD pressing available to the public. It's a shame that no one else seems to be into this band on here or else I might consider doing it via MOMR!
sporkthrumyheart
I haven't given this album a listen, but There Must Be... is incredible. And they totally killed it in a live setting.

I saw them back in the day and got landed on by the lead guitarist when he stage dove... everyone else moved out of the way.
deafmx
I've seen them like 3 or 4 times. I miss seeing them. they canceled a show here before they got dropped and never made it up until Warped Tour, I would have really liked to have seen some of these songs in a small indoor venue. andrewlucas
ill pay whatever it cost to own this vinyl. someone should just press it in a small quanity and sell them to us. and then tell everyone on the vaux facebook (if there is one). deafmx
I can't really wrap my head around the Roby comparison but man, Milemarker wasn't quite the same without her :-/ there is a semi-active Vaux Facebook. I think posting there would generate quite a bit of interest. the band posts pictures, flyers and videos, comments on people's posts. it could happen. popquizkid
Try emailing someone at Volcom Entertainment. They are the ones who own the rights to the record and would likely want to press it themselves if there is enough interest surrounding it (it seems like their 7-inch club is doing well so they are well-versed on vinyl). As much as I love this album, I doubt that enough people would buy it to cover their costs but you never know. The fact that the record was "independently released" doesn't mean that you can just press it on your own without going through the proper channels. toons7
Yes press anything. I would prefer There Must Be Some Way to Stop Them still in my top 20 albums So I saw these guys a good amount of times but I can say they were always so nice and appreciative of their fans every time I met them. *Little story* I saw them at Irving Plaza in NYC back in 06 maybe? it was Vaux opening then High on Fire then Andrew WK. Almost the entire place seemed like they were there for HoF cause when Vaux played myself and like 1 dude were the only ones singing and dancing. They destroyed that night and maybe got a few claps here and there and a good amount of booing. After their set i saw Ryder and said hey sick set duder he looked at me as if I was giving him shit. I was wearing their brown medusa track jacket at the time and he caught a glance at it and bearhugged me for a good minute and an half. Good people and great stage presence. Usless story over

This was the major label one that got shelved after Lava dropped them, then they got it back and self-released it.
popquizkid
Hey, Scott, you're right. For some reason I thought this thread was about the record before this, "There Must Be Some Way To Stop Them." Fun fact, 1/2 this band was or is backing Melissa Auf Der Maur: http://www.myspace.com/vaux/blog/533887908. If anyone is really serious about putting this out DM me and I can put you in touch with their bassist Ryder.

booyahachieved
If any of you savvy little VC'ers get this (or any of their albums for that matter) pressed I will most certainly buy a copy. Heck, I might even PRE-ORDER it. And the curse begins...
