timbrh2001
like i said, if they do then i'm a horrible judge of character. but also like i said, i'm not greedy and i got what i wanted for them, so to each their own. i mean, what can i say anyway? probably the three most valuable records in there (her majesty, helplessness blues, and for emma) i paid a total of $12 for, more or less. You made out well. It was nice and easy im sure. Could you have gotten more selling individually? Probably. But it also would have been a lot more work too. Sometimes people pay for convenience. Nothing wrong with that, IMO.
may28mr11
and besides, say they flip them for $4000, netting them a $1500 profit. what's that get you in nyc? one month's rent. wow. score.

Really, I wouldnt care anyways if they decided to flip them if I were the one selling them. Its not like you dont already know that you could make more money on these anyways by selling them individually.

may28mr11
thanks for all the PMs everyone. yeah...sigh...i will put together some sort of basic list and post it here this weekend. oh you fellow record collectors and your rabid desire for more records. i don't have the time or energy (i'm 6 months pregnant) to make an exhaustive compendium with cat #s and goldmine grading, etc, but i promise to put together something. i also can't make any promises for how i'm going to get rid of these. i'm more inclined to distribute the more collectible ones, but most i will probably just sell on consignment here in nyc. thanks for understanding! Guest
dont worry about the specifics. just a general list of artist - album - , and any condition worth noting. you seem pretty awesome, and i think a lot of people around here would be happy to buy from you. rootbeer
A friend and I were discussing the fact that you sold the signed Elliott Smith record for just $25. I feel like a jerk for pointing this out (sorry), but I couldn't help but notice that popsike.com archived two signed Either/Or auctions that sold for $400-$500. Yikes! That is one sweet deal. may28mr11
oh my. i think i created the misconception that i’m eager to give away really valuable records for $25 on a first come, first served basis. you all want the same records. most of you are being very nice about it, but a few of you are mistakenly thinking i’m a doormat happy to cater to your needs. i want to pick it up today! i want a full list! c’mon people, i do have a life. this was a mistake. there’s no fair way to dole these out. p.s. you would not believe how many of you want $500 worth of modest mouse records for $125. Guest
shiit for real?? i never paid attention to lonesome's value because i literally just warmed up to it like 3 days ago. trailer trash was the only reason i ever kept it on my ipod, and i just randomly put the album on the other night. so.. damn.. good. Trailer Trash is definitely the best song on the album in my opinion. I'm not a huge fan of Lonesome Crowded West, but I could listen to This is a Long Drive every day.
