thebunk
So I am curious how you guys clean your vinyl (if you do at all). Do you use a wet brush approach or just a microfibre brush (or both). Do you clean your brand new vinyl or just stuff you buy that is used. Do you rinse or dry it or no? jon720
I just use a carbon fiber brush. An Audioquest one to be exact. There's brushes on Ebay that are the same thing and sell for 7 or so dollars. Don't buy those!! I've bought 2 and all the little fibers fall off and go all over the records making it nearly impossible to get them all out of the grooves. I also have a cleaning solution, I think it's an RCA one. I think it may have screwed up some of my records and I never use it anymore unless there's some type of residue on a certain area of the record. Go for the Carbon Fiber brush or get one of those fancy cleaning machines if you run into a small fortune.
skumbucket
yeah, i use the carbon fibre because the cleaning machines are at least 4-600 bucks through my local hi-fi dealer.

ronniethebear
GE energy saver dishwasher, just make sure not to was on hot. I hope you're not serious. Where can you order the carbon fiber brushes from?
kyle
yeah, i use the carbon fibre because the cleaning machines are at least 4-600 bucks through my local hi-fi dealer. You can get a Nitty Gritty 1.0 Record Cleaning Machine for like $320 through needledoctor.com. They sell for about half that used. My next purchase will be a record cleaning machine.
