I know they got arrested for speaking out publicly about politics and are being oppressed or whatever but their music is sooooooo bad. I posted that on facebook and got a bunch of people commenting all "hey man, it's performance art! You just don't get it!" But my point is that band has to just be an attention-grabber for their political views and nothing more. Eh, I guess that's cool if I don't get it though. My buddy does (8-bit punk) performance art but his songs are at least good and then he lights his dick on fire at the end of the set. Now THAT'S performance art. They seem to be a public nuisance more than anything but yeah this is Russia we're talking about. Its not exactly a hotbed of free expression or a liberal rule of law. That said 2 years for doing aerobics in a church with ski masks and some loud music and yelling is fucking stupid. I could see that being a few to 30 days in jail for a misdemeanor but wow Russia, maybe you're starting to look more like the good ol Soviet days. Shame. I understand that it was a protest song, but for Christ sakes (pun) I don't want to hear your music, they don't want to hear your music, and I'm pretty sure God doesn't want to hear this awful music either. I'm sure if I went into a public place and decided I was going to re-enact GG Allin + the Scumfucks live set of being naked while sexual assaulting minors and eating my own turds....I would come to be a sexual offender and have several counts against me in court.
