IMO, a basic pedalboard needs only overdrive, delay, and reverb. The rest is all bells and whistles. I also will NEVER use phaser or chorus - have my word. Just bought a new one from Taylor from Daylight and I love it. I've just yet to venture out of my comfort zone.
