captainmorgan
Hi everybody. I'm new here, and I figured I would start by attempting to contribute something useful Soooooo...currently LifeLine records has all 3 colors of the Midnight in America LP in their store. Last few copies of the first pressing! I just snagged a red and a black/white. This LP fucking rules.

andrews
I ordered one on gray like....a month ago. Pretty sure its the second most limited pressing of this album. Missed out on whatever was more limited. EDIT: Anyone know the pressing info for this?
chiefwahoo
Per Lifeline's site: The good news...we do have a few more copies of Midnight In America on red vinyl, however the whole first pressing is close to being sold out, so get in your orders before they are gone And welcome to the board! Always nice to have a MLIW fan around. Do some research, you'll find a few MLIW threads going that include pics of all the different pressings available including Stagger Lee 7"s
mattisr1984
too bad the black/white is the nicest looking one of them all and its the least rare. red and grey are pressed in equal amounts of 300.

captainmorgan
i have it on yellow/black /150 Well aren't you special I missed out on that one. Was going to order the black/grey, but decided that the dollar to euro ratio was too poor. Or rather, that I'm too poor (I blame Flood for that). monk0nuggets
I need to pick this up still. I've been sleeping on it. I probably shouldn't.
youthattack00
aside from that grey/black one looking nice with the layout. this record is pretty awful sans maybe 3 tolerable songs. the dude is basically talking through the entire thing. even witness was better. band needs to break up so spanish bombs can have their bass player back/be a band again
captainmorgan
I disagree. It took me a few times through for it to click; at first I thought this record was pretty dull. But I love it. The pace is different, but the lyrics are fantastic. It may not translate as well to live performance as the first two, but I can't stop listening to this record. jhulud
This record was my first introduction to MLIW...at first I kept going back to "Stagger Lee" as my favorite track...now the overall thing is pretty darn good. I like it.

youthattack00
for real? dead ramones is a killer song but the rest of that record is petty boring. too much build up with nothing ever happening. the audio equivalent to having blue balls still bette than their newest though
xfedaykinx
yeah, i mean i definitely get what youre saying. and i know a lot of people share that sentiment. but my favorite MLIW song is the outsiders, so thats sort of where im coming from. theres a lot of that epic buildup on that record for sure. i guess i just kind of like how i can almost "feel" the plight of the midwest working man through that record. slow, begrudging but full of emotion and with a story to tell. god im gay.
